Interesting Alchemist bug or WAI?

I'm sure this has been discovered before and mentioned, and it might be working as intended, but on my alchemist in my offhand i carry a dagger that heals 1% per hit (Lady Jocasta's Revenge), and when i use Fire Flask, i can spam Elemental Mines, and it heals you right (well, when enemies step on the mines obviously). 

But tonight I discovered that it will also resurrect you if you die, as long as your mines are still out and enemies step on them after you die.

But here's the biggie: it can even bring you back after you've died 3 times and float around in the Fade! I was in a run and against the Demon commander, i had died 3 times and went to the fade and even started wandering around watching, my mines were still out, and when enemies stepped on them and triggered them, I actually came back to life and was able to fight again! Crazy.This may be the way it's supposed to work, but if so, i'm shocked that you could actually be resurrected from the Fade.

 

Anyone else experience this, or is it old news?

Happens a lot to my necro when a walking bomb is still ticking somewhere. People mistake it for death siphon, but I'm pretty sure DS doesn't work when you're down, only "heal on kill" stats.

Can be triggered by Death Siphon, HoK rings and HoK/HoH weapon stats. Working as intended.

Ah, makes so much sense now. I was wondering why my Ele kept coming back. Makes those heal on kill rings all the better and gives me more reason to keep those firestorms and firewalls going!

Now delete this whole post before someone sees it and decides it needs to be 'fixed'! ;)

Yeah, this confused the hell out of me for a while.  Particularly on Necro, when I was in Simulacrum form than realize I'm back to normal randomly after wondering why I haven't dropped yet.

I mentioned this in "my last DAMP pug"-thread as well, but another skill that will ressurect and heal is the Last Sacrifice passive on Templars. The way I discovered it was quite funny: As my whole 3-man team got whiped on perilous in an area a templar joins just as everyone dies. He gets all the aggro and dies as well. His passive then proceeds to ressurect all three of us with full health. Because he died himself he apparantly thought all hope was lost and ragequits the game. The three of us then go on to finish the run without him. I thought that was quite funny. He came, he sacrificed himself to save us all - and left.

Thank you, whoever you are.

 

Other than that I think this is working as intended, good job bioware! (wink wink)

oh... Yeah, I think that is definitely a bug because it doesn't happen for me - A LOT - and when it does it'll just show the animation of me reviving myself in the game over screen. Never seen it happen for templar and I do believe I have that passive and have died last

I was thinking the same thing but have not tested. Someone should though.

It could have been a bug. It could also have been something else. But after realizing what happened I just assumed that that must have been the answer. I cant think of any other reason why that could have happened. All three of us were dead as he joined, and I cant think of anything else that could have the same effect. It must have been the templar.... 

 

It actually took me like 5 seconds before I actually realized the whole team was alive, with full health, I was that surprised.

Ok so after a a bit of non scientific flailing around with uncoordinated groups I'm not even sure The Last Sacrifice works when other party members are still up. 

Or at least I sure didn't see anyone getting any health back or popping up from the ground.  But it was all a little chaotic.

Hah, now I get it. I had the same thing happen to me, except I had ring with Heal on Kill. I got dead, my mines obviously killed something and I was up again.
