I have no conception of time in tactical view. idea for a mod?

I like what they've tried here actually with tac cam, and ability to switch in and out of it.  Its just there's no sense of a relationship between the movement of the characters, their skills and the timing involved.  There should be a way to simply perform an action and movement within a round if you will.  

 

Because of cooldown mechanics, I get its probably difficult to achieve the old DnD rounds on some level.  But the trigger pull advance time doesn't feel right.  It should be a toggle. You hit it your guys do what they can do within a given amount of time. 

 

So my suggestions would be;

 

1) Change the tac cam advance control to be a toggle for a set amount of time.   When you hit it this set amount of time would play.  And whatever your character is capable of in that time happens.   STOP.

 

2)When moving characters there needs to be a cap.  You can go no further. This is your allowed movement within this time period.  STOP.

 

If most people like the pseudo slo-mo real time trigger thing.  Well my other thought would be to include:

 

3)A color coded UI ring or note on the UI ring, that indicates time required to move.  15s, 30s, 60s,  for example.  Your ring changes color as you extend your distance to reflect these times.
