Ok so I decided to switch it up a bit. Maybe given the drunken dwarf a chance in the Clique. An out of nowhere he tries to ride my mabari. When the mabari made that sound I was like omg wtf Oghren! lol! Somebody call Peta. My dog is not your battle Nug! Made me turn to my husky and give it a hug. Promised him no one will put a saddle on you an try to ride you.

Oghren is one of those annoying characters that I can't help but love anyway.
After all, who else is gonna try to warn you about a pants monster? Or confuse a male Warden with his ex-wife's female lover? Or tell off a ghoul with "NO ONE TOUCHES OGHREN'S JUNK AND LIVES!"?

I killed him in Origins and he came back in Awakenings anyway. Since then he has always been a giant middle finger from Bioware to me. I tried to like him at first but his low character and humor were annoying (I tried hanging with such people early in life but they were always getting into fights, etc., for the fun of it, so I moved on to more civil friends).
Forcing himself into my group at the encounter with Branka didn't help matters much. Replacing M'hairi in Awakenings, with much showboating, was the final straw.
These days he stands alone in camp wearing nothing, the armor of shame, while I run around with my favorite companions, or alone. The dog is my favorite companion.

I did not like him .. in DAO nor in DA:A. He joined the team, but always stayed in camp. I still do not know why they bring him back in Awakening :/

Probably true, but it's still stupid to do that to EVERYONE. I'd be annoyed if I killed him in an Origins playthrough only to have him show up in Awakening, myself.

I've never liked Oghren. Partly because of the ridiculous combat for two handed weapons, but mostly because of his personality.
That and the occasional thought that he might be too drunk to fight.
Or too drunk to find his way back to camp. From inside the camp.
Or too hungover to fight.
Frankly I wouldn't want him anywhere near me. I'd just leave him in camp with Sten, and wonder how long until Sten kills him.
I think I might have used him when I took a run at Awakening, but that game got bugged to death and had to be scrapped.

Oghren still believed in the dwarven tradition unlike Varric who is a surfacer, whose character has nothing to do with dwarven culture. It's thanks to you Idiots that Oghren was never mentioned in DA2 and DAI.

His banter with Alistair is just roll on the floor hilarious though. Particularly the conversation about spit and shining the old sword. Teaming up with Zevran to rescue the Warden from Drakon is just frigging hilarious.
