I'm playing a rogue right now and I need a bit of advice on how to build a rogue. It's amazing how good this class actually is. ;)  Dragon killing is much more easy. I never thought i'd kill a dragon 4 levels about my party.

My problem with it is that here are a lot specs and I don't know how to build  my rogue to be even better. Right know I have like 22 ability points to spare, level 16 and I have the Dual Blade and the Assasin tiers maxed out. What other abilities should I pick ?

Looked Like It Hurt = core ability; keeps your stamina up

Ambush is good vs. armored if you attack from stealth a lot.  Other than that, there's not much to take unless you want to experiment with the other abilities.

Tempest was always my specialisation of choice, simply for the awesomeness that is the Fire Flask ability.

Also, Tempest is perfectly suited to both daggers and bows, so you can spec out if you want a change of pace.

Just for a change, I decided to make my current character an Artificer. Because why not?

... and I don't think I am ever going back. Oh my word is this class fun!

Seriously, with a high critical chance your ability cooldown times are practically non-existent.

Only have an average critical hit rate? No worries. Leaping Shot will still act as a cooldown reset button.

Oh, and Elemental Mines are simply amazing.

So I'd recommend Artificer and Tempest, in that order.

The game has a sense of humor, tempest is better with melee and Assassin is better with ranged. But the difference is minimal anyway.

Hook and Tackle is a fun ability. Useful against faraway archers, annoying Despair Demons, or even Dragons jumping about to get into melee range quick. With the upgrade it's basically free, costing no stamina and having no cooldown.

Hook and Tackle to get close, stealth, upgraded flank attack to get behind them, twin strikes is my usual opener. Then auto attacks until stamina regens and abilities come off cooldown again.

My current nightmare Rogue build emphasises multiple strikes and is having me sail through nightmare without exploits. I just use flask of fire and spam throwing knives until it runs out. Then I flank attack to get in and use whirling blades. Alternatively I use ice flask and twin fangs for the shatter.

The key is that one of my daggers has the Hidden Blades fade-touched masterwork and the other has a plus 3 guard per hit. So I'm pretty much constantly gaining guard and activating Hidden Blades for monster damage. Very very fun. Then I just have lightning flask and a focus ability for fun and variety.

I was always a pro mage in role playing games... but in DAI the rogues rule imo. Basically a rogue is like Batman. I haven't had this much fun with a class in a long time + rogues have a lot more variety than mages.

It's very good for an Artificer Archer, too. You don't even need the upgrade as your skills basically have no cooldowns.

Hook and Tackle, Leaping Shot then Elemental Mines. By the time you've done all three, your cooldowns have reset.
