Ok so when i pre-ordered i thought i would be getting this gun right off and i got the armor to work but i cant find this gun to save my life. So how do i get this gun. Any help would be much apreciated.

Bumb...I came to this board looking for the same information. I bought the collectors edition and pre-ordered from Gamestop...I can access the armor but not the weapons. Additionally, is there no way to customize the bonus armor? (i.e. not show helmet option or other ways?)

You can get the gun when you get the first gun rack/ load out thingy. The first one I remember is on the Normandy in the armory a little ways into the game.

Found it. The problem was that I am playing my first playthrough as an Adept. So I didnt have immediate access to some of them due to class restrictions and needed to get Archangle for me to see them. The m-490 is a heavy weapon option that you have to scroll down to select from the list of grenade launchers (I think it was under this one).
