I've been watching this. It's absolutely hysterical:

 

 

This guy should've written ME3 instead.

 

I've since watched the guy's entire LP of Mass Effect 3. The whole thing was brilliantly done and the ending was just fantastic.

 

Now I think more people need to dub entire LP's like that.

This story starts all the way from Baldur's Gate One.

I can't stand Let's Plays. Maybe I've just seen the really bad ones, but when I go to look at gameplay footage of a game, I want to see and hear the game, not see the game and hear some intolerable manchild yell and scream into a $5 microphone like an ***hole. That's why I detest people like PewDiePie.

Ventus pretty much summed up my feelings as well. Case in point, a friend is going to let me borrow the Last of Us in around a week or so (exciiiiite) and she was trying to find some videos to give me a good idea of what the gameplay is like. It took far too long to find videos that didn't have folks talking or screaming over the game and for me that's the biggest draw when it comes to watching folks play horror games. If something relies on good sound design to spook me, I don't want to listen to people scream about it unless I'm sitting in a room with them.

 

Subtitled ones I do like just fine cause it doesn't bring me out of the game at all. There's really good ones for at least the first two Siren (/Forbidden Siren) games that was subtitled that I really enjoyed. It was really nice being able to watch the second of the series since that was never released over in NTSC-land.

I don't mind commentary if it's funny or informative. If I want just the game visuals and audio with no one talking. I'll go play the game myself.

I generally stick to kikoskia and quill18. Mainly for their commentary, the former certainly so
