Good morning!  First, is it possible to play offline? If so, what are the drawbacks? issues?

I'm experiencing lag in areas that are heavily populated such as Crossroads and Redcliff village. I have a 2mg Vid card, so that shouldn't be the issue, all my options are set to low except the one that lets me see hair instead of shiny helmet type hair.

Sorry if this has been addressed before.

Well, if you play online, all your saves are copied into your Origin cloud account and the Keep (I think, for latter), so if you accidentally delete those on your comp, you can get them back by logging in and syncing with the cloud data. If you play offline, all your saves are stored in your computer.

If you're not playing MP or not too worried about dropping the ball on saved games, play offline.

Lets see if we can find the cause of the lag. Please press the Windows Key+R then type DXDIAG in the box that appears and press enter. Allow Dxdiag to run and save all information. Open the txt file you will create and copy the system information and Display Device sections. Past those sections in a post here. We can look at that and see if you might benefit from an upgrade or, need to update drivers.

On or offline should not have a major affect on the single player game, so that is probably not the problem.

Your CPU is on the slow end for the game so, make sure Telestation is OFF and all other graphics settings are as low as you can tolerate. Less information to process means the game will run faster and smoother.

There is also an update for your Graphics driver. Update it via GeForce Experience if you use that program or, the Nvidia website.

You can also disable Origin In Game for DAI. That might make a tiny difference.

If you still wish to play offline, you can do so by unchecking the log in option in the game settings.

Thanks for your input, just sent hubby a text. Maybe a new computer in my future. For now, I'll try your suggestions.

I do wish the game gave us the ability to name our saves. I prefer saving game as "ABC Quest" then place and time. I need to write down each important

save. Can't tell you how sad I am I overwrote a few key points in the game.

I agree on naming saves, it would be nice to be able to name them so we could return to key points if we felt we needed to.

On getting a new computer, it's just after the holidays so, keep your eyes open and contact sellers of custom rigs. There may be one somone ordered and ended up not being able to pay for. I go my granddaughter a righ that specs at 3,600.00 USD for 1,400.00 USD that way. (iBuyPower rig via Best Buy) Same basics a mine but, mine is a lot more powerful and, was built piece by piece. I have over 5 grand into this gaming monstrosity that my hubby call the Chimmara Suitcase because it has a Chimmara design on the case and, it's huge LOL.
