It seems that Blizzard is glitching out for me. Or, more specifically, the AI's use of Blizzard. I grabbed the skill on my PC, set it to "disabled", and didn't think anything of it. But, whenever I switch characters or bring up the tactical camera, my PC immediately deactivates Blizzard, and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it. There's no seperate tactics option for the "deactivate blizzard" active skill like there is with some sustained abilities. There is no correlation to reserve mana, as I turned that to 0%, turned off AI tactics, and it would still get disabled.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there any sort of workaround for it? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Yes, I had the exact same issue.  If there is still an enemy in the area of effect, the artificial intelligence will keep it on.  If not, it will turn it off no matter what everytime.

The skill is exceedingly terrible to the point where I finally gave up and had to respec out of it.  I mean this thing is bad in ways that are usually reserved to describe pedophiles and Afghanistan.

Does pathetic damage, doesn't freeze enemies unless they're caught in the blizzard for like 84537604370 seconds, and doesn't let you regenerate mana.  It's very bad.  The best use I found for it was the ability to use it on a sleeping enemy and have them not wake up.  Other than that it's quite terrible.  Take the mine instead.

Alright, thanks for the heads up. I'm pretty sure that the AI was turning off the ability in fights too, but I did most of my testing outside of combat. I might just end up largely speccing out of Frost, since it sounds like it's not really worth it.

There is good stuff in there.  Winter's Grasp is good utility for defense and offense (through shatter combos).  Mana Surge gives you a free spell everytime you land a Barrier on yourself.  Winter Stillness ups mana and shortens cooldown times (I think I heard by 30%).  Fade Step is a critical ability if you play on Nightmare, strictly for getting out of bad situations.  I could care less about the upgrade but others seem to like it.

The Ice Mine isn't great but it's okay.  It's just another way to keep something off of you and can drop something's armor entirely.  I put it on Vivy just for jokes but I know there are better spells.

That makes sense. I guess I'm just kind of annoyed at the whole situation. Blizzard should be a great spell, and instead it's an iffy spell made outright unusable by AI that refuses to actually use it. I'd cast it on Cassandra, for instance, while she was surrounded by enemies to help her out. Makes sense. Then, she'd retarget, move out of the AoE and drag every enemy with her. Since the AI will auto-cancel the spell as soon as the enemies move outside of it, you can't switch characters to tell her to run back into it. It's really annoying. I'll still definitely take Fade Step and the passives, but I might end up going into Inferno or Storm for some decent combat skills. Hopefully, BioWare will eventually fix Blizzard in a patch.

Oh, well I have friendly fire on so it made it even worse lol.  It's pretty useless for damage honestly and it rarely ever freezes anything, all while hurting your mana regeneration.  It's just really bad.  It needs a total makeover.
