I have the Helm of the Inquisitor. I don't exactly remember where I got it... A dragon maybe? I didn't know it was rare. Its tier 2, I believe.

Looks awesome on my Golden Templar (Seriously, Silk Brocade+Dragonbone=Paladin Armor)

I'm starting to think this schematic like the dwarven longsword and a tier 3 staff aren't really in the game.

    move some of these like the helm of the inquisitor dwarven longsword schematic to say the high abyssal Dragon make it worth all those stupid side quests to challange it or the helm of the inquisitors maybe to the the frostback Dragon I'm gone through 3 characters and had not seen any that specific character could use or worth keeping save&load farming shouldn't be an answer to getting any of the better gear

you can get a master work Archon staff if you do the venetori fire ship chain opened via Iron Bull, as for the helm it drops regularly from the gold chest at the cultists stronghold in the Hinterlands near the bridge.

 the unique version of the helm will always drop from that Dragon you are vary lucky to have gotten that schematic the better ones r just as hard to get it's all about luck rng is a plague in these type of games destiny players r pissed about rng 

 

Well, the thing is, the schematic isn't even all that awesome.  3 metal and 7 cloth.  Even using Dragon Bone and a top tier cloth, the helmet still ends up being worse than the ones I have many of my companions wearing.

Tier 3  staff crafted inserts are using Strength, constitution, stagger, etc.. Warrior traits.. What gives??

while rng can be annoying, when topped with rng, and a side of rng (im looking at you Diablo3).. I prefer rng loot.. I remember always making a b line for arcane armor in Origins, and the set where the boots were missing elven something.. It takes away replay value for me.. I much prefer a large loot table, where each playthrough offers surprises.. Otherwise, we know where to go asap, to get the best of the best.. In an already easy game, this is 1 more thing to cheapen the experience..

 

Likewise, i dont want to find, a godly weapon on an random foot soldier... But, rng, is rng..

You must be thinking of a different helm because the helm of the inquisitor schematic is vary rare

Rng is in no way fun for me and Alot of ppl the good in fact it ******'s me off.  gear for your class rarely drops save/loading is the best way to get this gear and is frustrating, majority of the loot in the game is useless and you can easily make better gear then you can find. Do I feel anything of I finally get the item I've been wishing for since the beginning of one of my characters creation Nook I'm pissed I didn't earn it it's was random the best gear/iconic should be earned like through side quests or killing side boss's like the dragons. Except the champions gear in DA2 which was earned at the end of the game making where you couldn't truly enjoy the gear you worked for

So load/saving feels more rewarding? that is in effect "cheating".. Ofcourse i do understand your anger, when you dont get anything for awehile.. but the rng in this game is atleast minimal.. Maybe its because ive played so much diablo 3, that this doesnt bother me.. It adds a layer of surprise, which when pays out, is far more rewarding then already knowing what im getting, and lessening replay value for me.. I keep games physical copies, and play them until they are broken, literally.. I still have games from the 80's, 90's, etc.. Hell, even my Ataari.. But again, thats me.. Everyone is different.. 

 

Now if it were rng, ontop of rng, ontop of rng, i would agree.. But this is JUST for loot...

nope i got the helm at L3 chest farming that said chest but i play a dwarf so the superior carta helm was much better looking.

How is that cheating, rng loot is maybe fun for you but for me and others it's not some of these items we haven't even seen yet I've gone through 4 characters and most of the time gear that drops for the other classes dropped more frequently then my own the helm schematics like helm of the inquisitor and the orlision helm have never dropped. Items like these schematic should be earned like through quests or killing dragons but no they left it up to chance
