Its an increase to base weapon damage. Not +58 extra bonus damage as the tooltip suggests. 

 

It quite frankly makes the bosses a joke.

Ive always used it, but I was actually under the impression it was +58 damage, not +58 base weapon damage. It wasn't until I discovered that hidden blades can deal upwards of 25k damage with it did I discover how f*cksh*t amazing these steroids really are.

Yeah, I've been using this on my assassin for a while, lets you pretty reliably kill bosses during their slow initial walk unless they spawn very close to whoever they aggro.

I am 99.99% certain that this potion does not work on casters. Mages get stuck with a crappy lyrium pot.

 

Funnily enough, qunari mages in single player can use the +flat damage bonus that's on qunari vitaars which makes them by far the best mage race since staff damage is so low.

Shoulda played single player. This potion also adds a nice +100% crit damage there.

Mark of doom would've probably helped a little. I dont know if demon commander has much armor to speak of.
