Come on, Bioware. These enemies are supposed to be dangerous. Not pushovers that a Keeper can run up to and freeze with Disruption Field until it dies.

Where are these kinds of fights? This is what they are supposed to be like, people.

And it would be a nice excuse to buff chests, and give people more incentive to grab them instead of rushing through to get quick EXP.

They should just have them behave like the animals, actually. I miss the days when these guys would pop up out of nowhere and absolutely wreck your ****.

Sure. Once they get rid of that "three times die only" thing.

Good lord, no. The Arcane Horror and Revenant still prove painful right after promoting. I don't feel like getting stuck while leveling every 2 or 3 zones until a kits leveled up.

As I've said for other things, if you want them buffed for Perilious, while leaving them as is on Routine/Threatening, that I can understand.

Nah, a Revenant is still pretty dangerous for a Katari. Arcane Horror even more so.

Pft their not the problem we should be buffing druffalo and those rhino looking things. Took a druffalo 2 hits to own me - clearly it should be a one shot kill on hit. Also they should generate armour on hit

Purge/dispell his sword buff, and it's fine.

Otherwise just tank the two first hits and use the guard generated to absorb the 3rd. He will be dead likely before he starts swinging again.

And if I am soloing him with Katari?Should I debuff him with butthurt armour?

Edit

I am not flaming or anything,I just find those enemies problematic with some classes.

As a Katari the only reliable way I figured is to Pommel him, charge away, apply Earthshattering strike from the distance, hide behind something when he is trying to pull you, rince, repeat. Cumbersome, but works. Mighty Blow if you are impatient, but the MB animation is quite slow and you can get hit in the process. I don't know about other builds.

I tried ES strike in one build, but I find it very "underperforming" for what it should be,so I usually just skip it.

Faster swing animation of MB would be nice buff for the Katari. Some invincible frames during attack would be great, too.

Soloing in a multi player game should be at your own peril Zorinho so I don't see why you should feel entitled to be able to solo him.

Hmm,it seems that I poked you, even if that was not my intention.

Your statement about Revenant is little far-fetched,though.

Whats far fetched about it? dispelling him will greatly lower his DPS and if you do not have a dispeller with you there's also the option of tanking him if you are smart about stamina usage. Plus I suppose you could kite him about, as his pull attack seems to have a rather long cooldown.

More mobs should be like him to be honest.

I would support buffing both him and the horror if the chest that spawns them increased in payout as well.

I would agree that these two enemies are pushover comparing to what they used to be. Beating powerful Revenants was mini-quest in DA:O iirc. Treasure rooms could be buffed so they do not become routine no matter difficulty.

Maybe make 3 per mission, 1 for each class, and make them so it would feel like fighting a mini-boss, mini-zone 5.

As of now, looting them is boring, fighting them is boring, and they serve more or less as time sink and place to dump gold. Make them dangerous, unpredictable. Make players like doing them and make them cooperate. Good rewards but high risk, just like .. description in game says they are.

Sorry, I'm straight, and not a console peasant :)

So you may want to check your memory, and focus more on the discussion rather than who's posting where. I understand the need for drama on BSN, but in all honesty it's a little tiring.

So yeah, I agree with the OP in this particular subject - the Revenant and the Arcane Horror should not be the pushovers they are now.
