Any class is fine. You're some random schmuck who stumbled into the wrong place at the right time, not part of some special organization where one class makes more sense than the others for you to be out to save the world when you stumbled into the mark. Any class is fine.

I actually think a rogue makes the most sense for the Inquisitor. You effectively put almost an end to the mage/templar war by pushing the other into the hands of Corypheus, rogues seem to be the most indifferent class on this subject. Also, the mark gives the Inquisitor a major increase in power and as a rogue (and arguably as a warrior), you feel that greater increase in power than you do as a mage thus you get more of a feeling your life has truly changed. Lastly, I feel like the Inquisition is an organisation people can respect and was built up with hard work, communications and secrets, this triumph appears more idealistic to the people of Thedas I imagine not as a mage. Seeing as Hawke was also advertised as a mage prominently, the rogue class separates the Inquisitor from being the same.
Agreed, rogues fit like a glove

But that is my (canon) character. (Except I bet you meant a Solasmancer.)Female elf mage >>> Your character.

Rogue makes the most sense to me. The leader is usually not the strongest, smartest, or most magically gifted, but surrounds himself with those people and commands them. That said, to rule in Thedas, that Inquisitor should be able to beat anyone under his command. Rogue can do that, especially my Inquisitor.
He can solve disputes non-violently/harmlessly (by just putting them to sleep), or completely destroy them outright... at his own discretion.

Definitely Mage for me, Dalish (female) for story reasons and personal preference. And I always play Knight Enchanter so I feel like I'm also playing a front line melee fighter as well.

Dalish mage (male or female) is the one class that never made sense to me. As a dalish elf you are sent by your keeper to spy on the meeting. Mages are not know for their sneaking ability. Now a Dalish hunter (warrior or rouge) that makes sense. Stealth is needed to be a good hunter. They might be able to go unnoticed. A dalish elf though? Not so much. It's just not what they are trained for.

I favor Tidus as a male Dalish male mage or Chasha as a Dalish female mage.
Why? Simply because a mage works better for me in DA:I then my favored Elf rogue and I prefer a Elf over a human.
I am playing around with a Dwarf warrior test game. I'm using my Brand Rikku with a "S" face mark just she had like in DA:O and my story line why a dwarf was there she smuggled some lyrium into the concave and was caught in the explosion before she could escape.
This also fits Josephine questioning Rikku about her criminal life.

Precicesly i wouldnt mind it if you were second of the clan and the keeper decided to send you and not risk the first

Rogues fit the best across all the games. The simple reason is that as a class, they have a level of neutrality that allows Rogue characters to make rational decisions.
Personally, my favorite is human rogue since I like fighting at range and I find the concept of an ordinary human (one with no special powers like magic or no innate connection to the Fade or the Stone or to Dragons) to be a hero highly appealing. I mean, Batman, Green Arrow, Hawkeye, Black Widow are all cool for a very good reason.

i think it's the mage, a magic accident affetcs soemone with magic powers, makes sense, but the game works ok with every class you choose,

well my idea os not repeating the same class from the heroes of the past games to make every one of them unique .
so origin = warrior
DA2 = mage
inquisition = rogue

Rouge, because in a way, it fits with the fact that they're leading a large independent organization that's not tied down by the Chantry or any other group. They're doing what's necessary to save the world.

I actually prefer Hawke as a Rogue because the notion of a mage Hawke being around scot-free for 10+ years in a city known for its unflattering treatment of mages is highly ridiculous, especially given the fact that human nobles in the Free Marches like Amell and Trevelyan have been dragged to the Circle. I highly doubt that Varric could continue to bribe the entire Kirkwall Templar Order for 10+ years, given the zealous nature of many Templars there.
Now that does raise the question of Merrill and Anders being free but both of them spend most of their time in the portions of the city that is largely unapproached by Templars. However, mage Hawke ends up buying their ancestral home estate and effectively becoming a noble in Hightown (and Hawke also interacts with Templars and goes to the Gallows are a lot) so the idea that Templars could ignore this is just absurd.
Furthermore, as a rogue Hawke, it is Carver who dies, not Bethany. Which makes sense given the fact that one typically expects to find a Warrior tanking an Ogre directly over a mage.

I think any class can work, but I like mage the best. I think it has more bearing on the Fade and the rifts and would be the only class that would have an instinctive knowledge on how to use the anchor.
Or course, Solas pretty much guiding us the first time can make it work no matter the race or class.
I'm fine no matter what people do.

tbh. Mage, the world actually cycles around magic and you are much more able to feel the pain and suffering inflicted up on mages from non-mages. It will give you a whole different view on things.
I always played mage 1 to 3. Never played another class. Just doesn't feels like me. I really liked to be a Knight Enchanter in DAI. Felt like a real warrior there. hehehe~

Honestly, none of them are the 'best class'. A Qunari/Tal-Vashoth mage can be a good idea, I just can't see them as anything other than a warrior.
