Hello Mass Effect 2 fans.

We are aware of issues players are experiencing and are continuing to listen and work on these issues. When we have more information we will provide updates and let you know.

How can you tell if you are Cerberus Enabled: 
When you start Mass Effect 2, there are two computers on the main menu.  The computer on the right hand side of the screen should be open.  If it is not then check to see that you’ve entered your Cerberus Code in the account creation screens located in game.

PC Collector's Edition Issues :
We’re aware that some PC Collectors’ Edition Cerberus Codes are not working.  If you have the number 1688108 on the bottom right of your Cerberus Network card and have not associated it to your EA Online account at 4:00 PM PST your codes will be fully functional.  If you already have associated it to your EA Online account at 6:00 PM PST you can restart the game and your Cerberus Account will be available automatically!

Zaeed :
Some of you may be looking for Zaeed as a way to check your Cerberus Account.  Zaeed is being propagated to Xbox Live as we speak and will be available mid day tomorrow (MST).

Timeouts:
Some users are reporting timeouts or connection drops to Cerberus Network. We are actively pursuing a fix to this and will update everyone once it is fixed on the server-side.

General Cerberus Issues:
If you’ve entered your Cerberus Activation Code through the web interface and have played other EA Games with EA Online accounts but are not seeing the Cerberus Mission Computer open on the main menu.  You’ll need to contact EA’s Customer service line to ensure that the Gamer Tag in Xbox Live is associated with your EA Online account you’ve used to activate Cerberus.

****Make sure that your account that you are using on social.bioware.com is linked to your gamertag****

How to Redeem and activate Cerberus

Xbox In-Game Redemption:

o   Start the game

o   Cerberus Connection will automatically prompt

o   Sign in with your existing account or create a new account

o   When prompted enter Cerberus code

o  The Cerberus laptop will open on screen and display the available downloads

o   Sign in with your existing account or create a new account (make sure to sign in using the exact same account on your xbox)

o   Enter the Cerberus code

o   Upon successful redemption restart your console and load the game

o   Sign in with your existing account or create a new account (make sure to sign in using the exact same account that you used on social.bioware.com)

o   Enter the Cerberus code

o   Upon successful redemption restart your console and load the game

PC Online Redemption

o   Sign in with your existing account or create a new account (make sure to sign in using the exact same account that you used on social.bioware.com)

o   Enter the Cerberus code

o   Upon successful redemption load the game and login

o   Upon successful redemption right-click on the download link and save to your computer

o   Install file

o   Restart game

 

How to enable Mass Effect Galaxy dialog

Xbox
-   You must play and finish the Mass Effect Galaxy iPhone game and log into your EA account to upload the unlock

-  When playing Mass Effect 2 you must have Miranda and Jacob in your party to witness dialog

PC

- You must play and finish the Mass Effect Galaxy iPhone game and log into your EA account to upload the unlock

- When playing Mass Effect 2 you must have Miranda and Jacob in your party to witness dialog

Thanks for that chris. Unfortunately i have a issue still. When i went to redeem my codes i made a new ea account. The issue is that i forgot that i have created an ea account with my gamertag attached to it back in 2008. Now since you can't delete ea accounts or gamertags off account, what should i do? And i also redeemed my codes on my new account (i know very bad idea but i was in a rush)Any solutions, any help would be greatly satisfying.

Okay, I don't get the game until tomorrow when it releases in Australia, but I want to be sure I get this 100% right:



Step 1: Turn on your console and sign into Xbox Live



Step 2: Start up Mass Effect 2 or any other recent EA game (so EA's website recognises your gamertag)



Step 3: Use your Bioware Social login to login to EA's website & link your accounts



Step 4: Redeem your codes at http://social.bioware.com/redeem/



Step 5: Start/Restart Mass Effect 2 & choose the Cerberus Network option from the Main Menu



Step 6: Start downloading



... that about right?

I'm sorry, but I find this completely unacceptable. I've had my xbox gamertag for years, and if I have to create a new one to connect with the same account at ea.com and here, then dont I lose everything that old gamerstag had accumulated (points, achievements, etc...) and plus will invalidate my xbox live account?



I just want to keep things separate. Xbox things on an xbox gamerstag, online social sites/networks/accounts for the PC on a different email account. That's it. But it doesn't seem like I can? So I'm either forced to if I want my DLC and Cerebus stuff? Unacceptable.

So should CE keys be working now? I entered mine yesterday around noon when I got the game, and I'm still getting the "in use" error on both the website and in-game.

While glad the Collector's Edition problem will be fixed, is there a reason it won't be fixed will 6pm PST? Us east coasters have had this game all day unable to use the network, and now have to wait till nearly 11pm for it to work. Is this an unchangable thing, or some arbitrary time?

How do i link my gamertag to my social account? when i go to redeem code on this account it shows my email and my gamertag but my gamertag has a different email address so i created another account here with my email address that i use for my gamertag too but it doesn't show my gamertag does it matter though? as i have a EA account that is linked to my gamertag but this social account isn't linked to my EA account. so what should i do?

Please log into Cerberus Network with the account used to purchase the DLC.

M-29 Incisor Sniper Rifle"

The Cerberus Network still isn't working for me but I just want to clarify a concern of mine. When you guys do fix the connection, the message above doesn't mean to use the Cerberus Network to re-purchase the DLC, right? It just means use the Newtork to get the DLC you already paid for with the account you used. I hope the latter is correct.

My codes say it's already been used. But my Xbox says I need to spend 1200 points to get the Cerberus add on.... This is just sad.

i have a question. i downloaded the normandy crash site, but after it was finished downloading, all options were greyed out except for 'back.'



is it automatically injected into the game after downloading, or am i supposed to install it somehow? because i didn't have the option to.
