100% Unacceptable registration scenario.


EDIT: I was able to use the serial number under My Games>Register Games here on the site, but it still doesn't let me play the game, because the "launcher" refuses to acknowledge the situation.  About to ask for a refund EA/Bioware.

I cant even play the game. When I try to i get the mesage that I have to wait for the game to be released. It was released 12 hours ago. Any way around this stupid digital download feature?

Well, just got home from work, tried powering on and loading the game (360). NO DICE! WTF! According to the entitlement site, I should at least have the Cerberus at this point, BUT NO! To add insult to injury, Bioware "customer service" is hiding. What does Bioware plan on doing to make this right? So far, nothing it seems. Like I said earlier, Bioware has fallen very far since the Baldur's Gate days. So sad.

My fiance' and I play our games together. Will we both have access to all the promo DLC? Please tell me that it won't lock one of us out of the content just because we play on separate accounts.



I logged in after she signed up for this Cerberus Network thing, and now it's asking me to sign up for it as well.

I don't even really understand why the terminus armor didn't show up for me. I spent the time changing my xboxlive ID and I had the cerberus thing active and i punched in the code and nothing no terminus armor for me. Maybe I needed to delete my xbox cache cause it made me re-log into the cerberus network after I cleared it hoping the terminus armor would show up. Damn when are companies going to learn if they want happy consumers make getting the pre-order DLC easy or don't offer pre-order DLC period. All this to bad so sad Bull**** after I bought the collectors edition is pissing me off. I followed all the instruction they gave me and still get screwed out of the DLC i paid extra for. What they should have done was make the codes multi use for a single user no reason for me not to be able to retry it as many times as needed until I get the DLC a paid extra money for. No actually what they should have done was just use the already in place and easy to use Microsoft redeem code system I'm sorry but who ever decided not to use Microsoft's redeem code system is a moron.  In fact the person that made that decision is the one to blame for this huge pile a crap.  When i pay extra money for collectors edition DLC I expect to have something to show for it.

I just want to say that I really love you Bioware and this proves it...this is the only day i had to play this masterpiece of a game and i spent it all fighting for my dlc. I even ended up buying another Cerberus network code just because i didn't want to have to sit through the phone line or chat system a million more times in hopes of not being hung up on or disconnected. I was just tired of dealing with it.



EA....you are all &*(&*(*^*(&%(*&%)(*&^)(*&^%)*&%)*&% and can suck (*^&(*&%(*&%(*&%(*^&(^%....

Bioware, would it have been so hard to just let us input the code in to our XBox 360 like every other game developer? You screw us over with the very lame multi personality/ EA.com account BS and so when we're forced to create a new persona to access various EA sites we miss out on DLC because we weren't logged in to the magic persona...



This is lame. This may be the last time I even care about any kind of DLC from Bioware and EA since this happened to me on Dragon Age also, two games in a row is not a good sign....



Maybe we can all expect this DLC for free via a nice reliable service like XBox Live soon?

well, this has been a major screw up for all the players, and it's no party for customer support to fix. lets give them time to work on the problem hm? I'm sure editing and fixing 1000+ players accounts is not going to be able to be sorted that fast. Just give them time to do their jobs. In the meantime I've been playing it quite happily and I am very very happy with the game in general. Good job with game Bioware, I'm impressed with the product so far. Aside from the promo issues, I'm a happy camper.

I put in my ea account name and password - it said invalid password
then it said if you have a digital copy input your mass effect 2 cd key
I did that.
Now all I see is a picture of a Krogan Grunt....no progress bar....no indication that anything is happening. If I try to close the Krogan it says...if you close this your registration is not complete....It's been like this for five hours....how long is it supposed to take...
restarted again did the same thing with the same result.

So far my ME2 experience is a bitmap of a Krogran...not very ins[piring for the digital deluxe preorder that I couldn't even attempt to activate until 10 am pst when others had bought actual dvds at gamestop the previous midnight.

And I already put my cd key in when I installed my direct2digital copy on my computer....I also put my cerberus network key on the bioware site...that worked fine as I am able to download dlc already....but I still can't activate the game what is the deal?

I am in the same position.  I even stayed on the phone in line for an hour only to have my call dropped.  I tried again and lasted over 2 hours in line and my called got dropped again. 

Finally, I went HERE and did this.  Now I am playing the waiting game.  I'm not going to play untill I get all the content I deserve.

It won't let me link my gamertag to my profile. I clicked add persona and entered my gamertag but it said "Sorry, that Xbox LIVE Gamertag has already been taken. Please try another one." Everything else is linked up like the instructions (social.bioware.com, ea.com, and xbox email all match).

I have just now been able to download the Blood Dragon Armor, the Collectors' Armor, the Normandy Crash Site and even the Terminus Armor. YAY!!!!  WOOHOO!!!!  I am a really, really happy Camper now!!!!

Timeouts:
Some users are reporting timeouts or connection drops to Cerberus Network. We are actively pursuing a fix to this and will update everyone once it is fixed on the server-side.

It's been 10 hours since the post and I still cannot connect to the ME server. Any update at all? Even bad news that somebody spilled tastey waffle batter on it would be something.

Checked again this morning before heading into work and got the Title Update, but still cannot connect to the server. I really hope this is working by the time I get home tonight.

Is it possible to download the files onto a flash drive from a computer, then install it on the 360?  All I got at home is a 56k connection, so using an XBL account is a moot point for me.

EA Support doesn't work. 90minutes on the phone with no response and the Support Chat has canceled my chat request every 30mins 5 times in a row. My collectors edition don't work because I followed their instructions to "make sure you are logged in to this site with the same email address that you are using for your in-game account!" This is completely wrong instructions. What matters is to have your gamertag linked to your account no matter what email you used to create the ea account.

Because I followed their stupid instructions - I created a whole new account and it now doesn't let me link my gamertag at all. Which means the DLC is completely inaccessible. Please fix this situation ASAP and change your instructions on the redeem code page as it is completely inaccurate.

Put a +1 to the "Ignored by EA customer support" list. This was both on the phone and in chat. I understand that customer support must be busy trying to fix a countless number of issues, but it doesn't change the fact that your company is wasting their customer's time with awful service (this is an understatement). Get your **** in gear, man.

This is ridiculous. So many people having problems all because they cant just give us an Xbox live redemption code like a normal game. Why do they do this even though they know it's going to cause problems? It seriously makes me not want to buy Bioware games anymore, which is sad because I love Bioware, but EA just can't seem to butt out.
