If not, what is all this about an EA account? For DA:O I simply logged on to the social site, put in the code, logged out, started the game and voila. Please tell me it's still this simple for ME2 PC. Thanks.

I have a question. Haven't really checked yet, but I'm assuming that I'm going to have much of the same problems that others have had. My wife and I, naturally, share an Xbox, but each have our own Gamertags. We went ahead and put the Cerberus network onto her account and installed all the DLC. Those work great--no issues whatsoever. But am I going to have problems accessing the Cerberus Network on my account? And, without the network, am I going to be screwed on accessing the DLC? Any word from Priestly or any of the devs would be really appreciated.
I'm having the same issues as you are. Didn't experience this with Dragon Age, but it's happening with this game. Hopefully this'll get patched up or something.

Wasn't there a big hassle about this yesterday? People using the code on the social site weren't able to connect to the Cerberus Network? I don't want to enter my code on the social site and then left holding my proverbial cerberus laptop...

Are the problems with the Cerberus Network Card occuring mainly for people who haven't got their EA account linked with their Xbox 360 Gamertag?
I'm in the UK, so won't be picking the game up until Friday, but the last thing I want is to get home from work then spend a few hours trying to get everything working and downloaded for my first run through.
Thanks in advance!

I got the Cerberus card, and it said on the back to use it on this website. I made this account, and used it for the Xbox. It said to go restart my xbox, and the Network would appear. However, all it says is "please redeem code," won't let me access anything.
I also cannot link my EA account to my gamertag, even though it is on the same email address. It says the gamertag is already in use. This is all very confusing, and I do not know what to do. I have just been playing the game without the Network for a while now, but now it is just irritating that I will have to spend anothe $15 on something that I received a free code for.

It wasn't that complex. When you first start the game on the 360, you are prompted for your EA Account email and password. As I had first created a EA acount for Dragon Age, it was a simple matter of filling in those fields. 5 mins tops. However, you will need to know that information ...
Also, like ME1 the first bit is pretty linnear - you won't need/have a use for the DL stuff until you clear the first mission, takes about an hour.

Thanks a lot, i 've had my EA account linked to my current Gamertag since Fifa 09, so shouldn't be any problems there

I doubt the problem will resolve itself. If you have ever played another EA game, multiplayer or singleplayer (with leaderboards) that connects to EA servers online, you have already linked your gamertag to a EA account. If you didn't already have an EA account that you chose there and then, you created a new one. Now if you want to link your gamertag to your new EA account, you will have to call the EA support.

PC Collector's Edition Issues :
We’re aware that some PC Collectors’ Edition Cerberus Codes are not working. If you have the number 1688108 on the bottom right of your Cerberus Network card and have not associated it to your EA Online account at 4:00 PM PST your codes will be fully functional. If you already have associated it to your EA Online account at 6:00 PM PST you can restart the game and your Cerberus Account will be available automatically!
*************************
This is not correct and needs to be addressed!
I have the PC Collectors edition (although I wonder why now) and I installed it for the first time last night after midnight EST. I tried to enter my Cerberus code, which is from a card with the number 1688108 on it, it said my code is already in use.
I've tried to activate it through the game and the website and no luck and certainly no automatic account activation after 6pm PST like they say.
These "features" that you added to your game in an attempt to nickle and dime customers out of a few more dollars are not working. I would recommend that no one else purchase this game until the powers that be step up and start doing their jobs and get these issues resolved ASAFP!

I pre-ordered from Amazon but didn't get code or anything for inferno armor. How can I get this?
Having the same issue...already emailed Amazon and EA to try and figure out what's up. Would have just ordered from Gamestop if I knew this was gonig to be such a hassle...

I bought Dragon Age: Origins for the PC and created an EA/BioWare account for it, not realizing that I had previously created an EA.com account on the Xbox 360 with a past EA title using a different e-mail address (the one I'm currently posting on, as it happens).
I bought Mass Effect 2 for the Xbox 360, intending to link it with the same EA/BioWare account as I did Dragon Age: Origins, but obviously I wasn't even given the option since the game detects the login information from the previous game and completely skips that part of the process, only asking for the Cerberus Network code, which I fortunately entered on the console instead of redeeming at the site, otherwise I'd be unable to access it like I'm unable to access my Blood Dragon armor.
