Quick question: Do we HAVE to have the same email between our Gamer Tag and the EA Account?



I have this account with BioWare since friggin 2002 and my GT has a completely different email associated with it, I happened to register my GameStop codes within this BW account and now I am not clear if I will be able to link my GT with this account.



Any info is appreciated.

I was wondering Mr. Evil if you would post a how-to video on youtube on how to do the first of all the ME1 profile over to ME2 and also how to setup the Cerberus Network. Thanks for reading my post and I am drooling in anticipation for Friday when I get my copy of ME2.

If you want to change EA accounts for your gamertag you will have to call the EA support.

Is there a problem with the boxed game or is all the trouble with the downloaded game? 

I was trying to decide whether to buy the game at the store, or download it, but it sounds like some people are having a lot of trouble. Maybe I'll just wait and see what EA and Bioware can do to fix  the problems.

On my redemption card, the Dragon Age Blood Armor code was on one side of the card, the Mass Effect 2 code was on the other side. Flip it over and see if it's there. If not, was this a code given to you by someone, or copied somewhere? If so, you're on your own...

I'm not getting the game until Friday, but I decided to get things sorted so I wouldn't be driving myself mad after seeing the sorry problems some people have been having. This is what I done to link the gamertag with my ME1 saves and which I would be using to play ME2 to my EA account.

First of all, I already had a gamertag linked to my EA account, but it was the wrong one... it got linked to that gamertag when I loaded up the Saboteur from Panademic for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I guess.

So what I done was log into my gamertag which I wanted linked to the EA account (the one with my ME1 save games on it) then started the Saboteur and clicked the downloads option in the main menu. I'm sure this would work the same with any recent EA title.

I was then prompted to enter my EA account email address and password. Now... the gamertag I wanted linked is tied to a different email address than the EA/Bioware one, but this didn't seem to matter. I just entered my EA/Bioware email address and it automatically linked the gamertag which I was using at that time to the EA account.

Now I have two gamertags linked to the EA account. So I am all set for Friday. This may seem a convoluted way to sort the problem out, but it worked for me so I thought I would post it.

EDIT: Of course, you can contact EA customer support aswell and they will do this, I think. But I thought since I had the EA game sitting there, why bother?

Hey, someone at bioware. I just bought my friends little brothers copy. His mother would not allow him to have it, to young haha. But he already used his cerberus code. I am trying to buy a code, but all it's saying is can't download items. Please try again later. Atleast i saved 10$ buying it. Guess i'll have to wait.

I did probably mistake, I entered my code in game and now i can not enter it in sicual.bioware.com, why the hell is that feature in game if it blocks the code. Frack.

Update:
I see my bonus content now, the link is quite hidden, this is confusing like hell, bonus in injected automatically if you fill redeem code in game.

Okay I'm having some troubles with the Code I got as the Pre-Order from Gamestop. When I first Signed on to I believe Burnout I had to make an EA Account, up until now I have never had any issues with it. I think it is on my first Email my Xbox LIVE GT was attached to. This is not the case now and for the life of me I don't have my old Email/ Password.



Okay so on to the problem, when I went to the EA/ Bioware Site it would not Sign On with my "old" Email, so I tired my current Email. It would only allow me to make a new EA Profile. How do I get the two Accounts Linked. When I Sign on in an EA Game it simply states Connecting with EA Servers and it is done. How do I see what Email the EA Account is using on my Xbox LIVE Profile? I never got the DLC from ME2/ Cerberus Network sent to my Xbox LIVE Profile?

It's very strange, my gamertag is not linked with my EA account, yet in DA:O I was able to redeem and download every piece of DLC and "bonus content", although my profile never got updated from my game. meh, don't care so much about that, so no biggie.



SO I redeem my pre-order codes and Cerebus codes for ME2 here, start up the game, and wow, there's my Dragon Armor from my DA:O order, but no Cerebus, and no pre-order content. So now what do I do?



I do not want my gamrtag to be linked to my ea.com nor my bioware account, didn't have to for DA:O... So basically I'm screwed out of the extra free content that I'm supposed to have?

OK so far all my attempts to contact EA have failed. I wished someone at EA would come forth and say "Hey, we're ignoring all support requests till we come up with a solution to our screw up." or something. At least BioWare should say something official "Hey, sorry, we'll fix it soon, it was EA's crazy idea." I mean c'mon, I spent close $100 on the CE and now I gotta jump through hoops and spend hours trying to reach customer support just to get what I paid for?

Find a way to get people their pre-order and CE bonus material easily off of Xbox Live now, then fire all the people who thought the convoluted way the bonus material would be doled out for ME2 was a good idea.

I want my content now!!!!, I bought the digital Deluxe Edition and I downloaded my in game content (armor, weapons, Zaeed, etc.) but I don't know where my art book, soundtrack, behind the scenes and comic are!!!!!!!!!! damit!!!!!!!

For those who have not yet checked, the Zaeed DLC is now availabel on both the Xbox 360 and teh PC versions.

Catching up with otehr changes since last night. More information as it is available.

And if it didn't for others, and we've actually started the game, is there a place?  I can see where to enter the code, which I've already entered here as instructed, and of course when I enter it in game, it says it's already in use although I cannot actually use it...

I still have the option to enter the key, but as long as my game is logging in with my gamertag as opposed to the account I actually want it to login with, I'm kinda screwed, right?
