I got the Collector's Edition (hmm, coincidence maybe?) and I got 2 discs with mine, along with the bonus disc. I entered all my codes, activated everything from masseffect.com, and then downloaded them to my 360 after figuring out I had to use disc 2 to play the game. I tried transferring my character over from my hard drive, followed the instructions, switched to disc 1, and it loaded...but now when the video starts, it gets 2 seconds into it and then proceeds to say it can't read the disc (I have a 360 elite that's 2 years old, just got it back from Xbox Repair for a laser reader malfunction...) When I try to start the game with disc 1, it won't read it anyways also...anyone else having this problem please say I, or just try and lend a guy a hand here =P

Same here, been booted twice after waiting more than 30 minutes each time. Fairly aggarvated. Was on the phone as well, but stopped waiting on hold the first time when I had '22 seconds' left, argh, big mistake.

Anyone know what would happen if I tried to de-activate and close this other account myself?
Would the content and codes I've loaded from the console so far for Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 still function?
Could I then link my Gamertag to my actual EA account without issue?

Update: Got through on the phone, they had to spend some time changing things over so I would assume trying to delete one with stuff on it wouldn't work out.

So I redeemed the code on this account, but I was linked to another old EA account (for some reason it didn't mention which account). If I unlink my Gamertag from the old account (which has the Cerberus linked in already) so I can link it to this one, will it give me the armor in this account (since the code was on this account, but no gamertag was yet linked)? Or will that just make me unable to keep the Cerberus (since it is strictly to the old GT while linked to the Old EA online) and is the armor code already unusable since it was claimed on an account that didn't have a gamertag linked?



Sorry if that was unclear, but basically Can I get the armor redeemed on this account (while holding on to Cerberus from the old EA online account) if I link the gamertag to this acount after unlinking it from the old EA online account? I want my Cerberus from the GT+EA set up, but I want the armor from This Account+No GT yet set up. Can that transfer happen without losing either redemption?

can't do anything with my dlc, did both on the mass effect website like it said to, and can't link my account to my xbox gamertag so dlc is useless apparently

So If I have my gamertag linked to my old EA account that I don't remeber the email or password to, and I already linked the dlc to this EA account, there is no way to add this profile to my gamertag, this sucks.

Same here. I redeemed all my codes through ea online, not cerberus. ANd everytime I try to connect to Cerbertus, I get the error message saying my connection to the servers are disrupted.

So angry right now, bc I have CE and Blood dragon armor and inferno. The new N7 suit is really nice, but getting sick of look at it.

Mine is 360 elite too. I think you are supposed to play/start the game using Disc 1. I have the Collector's ed too. 2 dics and 1 bonus(DVD) disc. Maybe your disc 1 is dirty? try cleaning the disc. I installed Disc 1 onto my hard drive to minimise using the disc drive and works fine so far. I have only played 2 hrs worth of playtime though. Planning to play it fully through during my annual leave mid of next month.

log in xbox live, play mass effect 2, get in cerberus thingy is gonna ask for my code , i put the code and thats it? i dont need to come here and redeem it on the site? i just can do it on xbox live?

ok so i can dl cerberus, zaeed, crash site, my bw/ea accounts are linked and it displays my gt under the code redemption space, and when i put in the code for my armor and gun i get 'No response received from remote server... please check your Registered Game Promotions page to confirm if your promotion has been registered.' or 'Code not recognized, please check that you have entered it correctly.' and its pissing me off beyond belief. either this is just being stupid for me, or gamestop stole my code. wouldnt be the first time... anyway, does this happen for anyone else?

We apologize for the inconvenience, however a limited number of the Cerberus Network cards included with the Collector's Edition were inadvertently printed with the download code for the Collector Gear rather than the Cerberus codes.

The studio is currently working on a solution that will grant Cerberus Network access to anyone who redeems the Collector's Edition code moving forward. This solution includes a script that will retraocatively grant Cerberus Network access to those who have already activated their Collector's Edition code.



So basically if you downloaded the collectors armour you will get the cerberus network eventually and this is the 360 im talkng about.

Just a note to Bioware. I love your games, but please next time just use the infrastructure already built into Xbox Live for downloads and redemption codes. The extra steps for redemption has caused a lot of these issues. The biggest one being the EA master account business and not being able to move your gamertag around. I know its "technically" my fault I created some EA account in a rush to attempt to import my face to Tiger 08 and forgot about it (and didn't know my gamertag was locked to it).



Not only did my face look idiotic in Tiger 08, but now my ME2 codes are all messed up because of my phantom EA account I logged into once. Damn you Tiger Woods.

Well I am screwed unless there is a way for the code redeemed on this account to be merged with the actual old account to get me my 360 Terminus. My Cerberus is on my old EA account (redeemed via 360 menu) but I redeemed Terminus here. It didn't tell me what account I was in on the Cerberus network, so I didn't realize redeeming the code here wouldn't redeem it with the 360 account as well...

I'm upset.



The Cerberus Card in the CE told me to redeem the code online with my EA Accaount, but I couldn't find it. So I ended up going back to this website in order to redeem both my Cerberus Code and Collector Armor/Assault Rifle (because, you know, that's what they told me). Apparently, my Bioware Account and my EA Account aren't connected, so I had to waste 1200 Microsoft Points on the Cerberus Network that I had already paid for. And now I can't use my Collector items, all because it never said anything anywhere about being able to simply do it all in-game.



I'll live; I have the Cerberus Network (I just had to pay extra for it), so I can download all subsequent DLC on the Marketplace. And the loss of my Collector items is probably negligible.



But damn, Bioware. I am disappointed that you couldn't make this process clearer. I'm not an idiot, but even this completely befuddled me.



Great game, though. you outdid yourself in that respect.

How long have you been waiting for? I've seen it take anywhere from under an hour to several hours - but I've yet to hear that it didn't work. Better than waiting in chat - or at least you can do both (or even all three if you want to call at the same time). It's also possible that their response times are slower overnight (U.S. time).

Just a reminder for anyone else still having issues linking their XBL gamertag to their EA account: try this thread (which is what unknown0517 is talking about).

EDIT: For anyone trying to enter EA live chat for support, go to support.ea.com, then click on "Email Us" on the left-hand side under the "Support Links" section. Then select the appropriate platform, game (Mass Effect 2 obviously), and then "Account/Billing" and "Account Linking" - you'll be entered in the chat queue. Again, I don't recommend this option. I tried five half-hour chat sessions (all canceled right at the end) before I gave up. Some people have reported success, though, so it's worth a shot if you're waiting on that thread or a call.
