I am fan of DAI, and a larger fan of the DA series. But I do not miss the crawling masses, Griefing, lines, simulacrums of everyone running about, etc. No MMO for me; Thanks!

No to MMO (they're like a plague these days), but a co-op peer-to-peer multiplayer mode could be fun. Instead of canned companions, bring RL friends/family.

Considering what Bioware did with SWTOR??

No.  They would absolutely ruin this franchise.

As much as I'd love to romp and frolic around Thedas with real friends, I have zero...  ZERO confidence in BW to pull off a decent MMO.

EA would charge you like a high class hooker. "You need to be a subscriber to sprint"

No thanks. There are plenty of MMOs out there already. Let Dragon Age stay single-player.

Dragon Age 4... An MMO? lets do it!

Take the story back to the first blight. The beginning of the chantry, the seekers, the wardens, the circle a huge war between invading Tevinter Imperium, Orlais, and Fereldan. Not to forget involving the dwarves and elves. So really, like 5 major factions to be involved..

There's so much room for story and pvp and shenanigans... If done right unlike a few new games-turned-mmorpg of recent...

I mean if you look at the Dragon Age series, there's already so many classes outlined and so much lore to go off of it'd really be childs play to come up with a great mmo for Dragon Age.

You can choose basic classes at first, A warrior, mage, rogue, and decide on which direction you'll take.. Warrior to templar, seeker, reaver, any melee class really.. Mages to elementalist, blood mage, shapeshifter. Rogue to assassins or bard or hairy chested dwarf.

What do you guys think, about the idea of an MMO DA?

Oh god no. Not every bloody game needs to be an MMO.

Case in point: SWTOR.

Would be cool if we could revisit the First Blight though.

Hell no!

SWTOR is fine and all but it butchered the whole KOTOR legacy.

No thank you.

I play a couple of MMO's that have a great community. If the forums here are anything to go by (no offence) it would be a disaster. The community can make or break an MMO.

You would want to avoid SWTOR General Chat like the plague.

It makes this place look calm sea of quiet tea drinkers.

Yea, SWTOR wasn't a bad game in and of itself, but the way it turned

Spoiler
and some other things really really turned me off to the game and dashed any hopes I had for the franchise.

I quit the game 5 months ago and never looked back.

*sips some tea* This forum is exceptionally quiet and well-behaved, I don't see the issue.

I hope EA spends a boat load of $ on some crappy MMO. DAI is basically a terrible single player MMO. Maybe after that, the people who have somehow convinced themselves via cognitive dissonance that DAI is good will finally have their eyes opened.

As a regular SWTOR player I can say that our comunnity would not benefit from the MMO crowd, the amount of crap in the general chat of SWTOR is like a fan working on crap for 24/7

Star Wars isn't a series that fits into a MMO either but that didn't stop SOE or EA.

Absolutely not, it will be ESO all over again, complete with butchered lore to fit the MMO theme.

Besides, what makes DA so wonderful is the interaction with (romancable) companions... I don't see that working in a MMO. I'd much rather they focus their efforts, time and resources on a hopefully fantastic single player DA4.

SWTOR was a better game than DAI. Better main character(s), better villian, better combat, and better quests. Only thing DAI did better was companions.
DAO was one of my all time favorites but DAI is just awful.

DAI is already a single player MMO. Who cares at this point? All the awesomeness of DA:O (and Bioware as a whole) has been squandered.

But it's the Game of the Year/Decade/Millennium!  And people love to socialize, right?  That makes a great mix!  And MMOs are super-popular with the kids!  Plus the MMO platform is primarily built with DA:I already!  Plus it will surely be profitable due to EA's paid reviews, industry leverage and great marketing techniques!  Full speed ahead!

What could possibly go wrong???
