No, thank you and it seems they're probably planning to make another mmorpg : BioWare's Shadow Realms In Flux, Possibly Rebooted

Nah, DA is about story... MMOs are weak on story, it would take the worst filler elements of DAI and make them bigger.

Keep the experience single player, let me control my warden again, bring back my inquisitor and let me fight something awesome with a great tale built around it.

MMO is the wrong direction to go.

Aren't there enough MMOs out there already?  DA's even provided you with a multiplayer component.  Why not leave a few things intact for those of us who actually prefer single player?

Dragon Age 4 should be about the Hero of Ferelden, the Champion of Kirkwall and the Inquisitor teaming up like the Three Musketeers, with your new character taking up the role of D'Artagnan, the 4th to fill up the group. No other companions, those 4 would stick together till the end of the game and they'd be all PCs.

That way, no one could complain about the companions - you made them yourself, after all. ;)

Even better, everyone could bring their LI along!

No. NO. The one thing DA tries to achieve -if it does, it's another talk- is personal, choice-driven stories. An MMO would ruin that. NO.

Yea, because nothing is more fun than grinding for the same gear everyone else wants and killing the same boss over and over and over with a bunch of people who have to be online at the same time and usually act like elitist assholes. No thanks....

Dragon Age 4... An MMO? lets do it!

Take the story back to the first blight. The beginning of the chantry, the seekers, the wardens, the circle a huge war between invading Tevinter Imperium, Orlais, and Fereldan. Not to forget involving the dwarves and elves. So really, like 5 major factions to be involved..

There's so much room for story and pvp and shenanigans... If done right unlike a few new games-turned-mmorpg of recent...

I mean if you look at the Dragon Age series, there's already so many classes outlined and so much lore to go off of it'd really be childs play to come up with a great mmo for Dragon Age.

You can choose basic classes at first, A warrior, mage, rogue, and decide on which direction you'll take.. Warrior to templar, seeker, reaver, any melee class really.. Mages to elementalist, blood mage, shapeshifter. Rogue to assassins or bard or hairy chested dwarf.

What do you guys think, about the idea of an MMO DA?

Just when I thought it cannot get any worse ... something like this comes along!

Thanks, but no thanks!

But I have a suggestion for your next thread, EEhryn ...

:bandit: ... a F2P-game plus subscription plus lot's of DLC's !!! :bandit:  That would be an awesome thread! :bandit:

If your thoughts about the DA-MMO did not include F2P-elements ... let's do it ...

*... end of emotional outburst ...*

*Edit

EEhryn, please do not delete this thread. Let this thread be a warning for others!

(And do not take it too hard or personal!)

Why not if it's done by a separate team with no impact on the making of single player games.

That being said I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

These things always have negative impacts! It would never be something whose influence could be contained! Even if you would sell a license to another company to make it ... Bioware would have to get involved! There is no way around this.

I am a firm believer of such things as ...

... even MP-mode being a distraction for the teams at Bioware! I can enjoy it when it is done well - which it isn't in Inquisition! (It's designed to be a cash-magnet, not a game-mode !!!) - and I am in favor of things to be included in general, which I do personally not enjoy but are loved by others. Solidarity and tollerance and respect are important to me! But I also think, that the MP in DA:I and the MP in ME3 are purely for cash and nothing else. I feel robbed just by looking at them! If a game is good and I enjoy it and there are well-made DLC's put out for it ... I will buy these DLC's. I will pay for them and not look back. But to sacrifice good gameplay and ALL the things that people enjoy, by dumbing them down, to make more room for trash-content?

... and this always happens when you follow such (well intentioned but "bad") ideas ...

I pay for AAA, I am  looking for AAA and I will  always stick to AAA !!!

I am not interested in ANYTHING ELSE!

NO!
We already have SWTOR and while I enjoyed it I would always prefer KOTOR3 over it any second. We dont need another good franchise ruined by soulless crap that mmo brings.

Sure! Just because SWTOR failed completely there is no reason to not waste another pile of cash on a WoW clone! It's bound to work out this time

Sorry, but Bioware isn't going to publish a new MMO to compete with their other MMO.

If enough people say no to this, I bet they would make it. Happened with Kotor too. Everyone were aching for an mmo instead of Kotor 3...
