I played whole trilogy as a soldier but after playing multiplayer as adept & engineer I'm starting to love em both. I find engineer a lot of fun and can play all the multiplayer characters in that class w/ ease. Only adept I'm good with is human as I only use singularity & warp. Theres probably a guide already on this topic but was wondering if someone can direct me to the right position.

I don't really know of any guides, though undoubtedly there must be a lot of them, but until someone links you to one, my best advice is learning by doing :) read the skill descriptions (biotic powers remain pretty consistent throughout the trilogy), play around with them and you should get the hang of it fairly quickly.

Some basic info: biotic detonations don't exist in ME1, so don't worry about comboing skills there. In ME2 they exist in a limited variety with Pull as the primer and Warp as the detonator. Not sure of Throw is a detonator too, but I don't think it is until ME3. Then you've got the final game where your MP experience should make you feel right at home. Singularity, Lift, Pull and Warp are your primers with Throw, Warp and Shockwave being detonators. There's a few more besides, like Reave or Lift Grenade, but those are the primary skills for your combos.

As for playstyle, you're pretty squishy compared to when you played a Soldier, so just try and stay a bit safer than you're used to and gradually get a feel for it :)

I just realised ME3MP does a lot in terms of "getting to know other classes" and makes people try different things in SP afterwards, too.

Probably one of the greater achivements of the MP beside just being fun.
