Just an FYI Chris Priestly (Bioware) posted on Xbox Tech help the following

"Hi folks

I have alerted EA Support that there are problems and they are working to fix this ASAP."

end quote

So hang in there troops. Meanwhile make an offline char and heck maybe the game is more fun without DLC?

ASAP just means "whenever we get around to it, after counting all of our money."

I don't want a freebie either, I just want to play the game with the content I paid for. After all, the XBox players got ALL the DLC for free...

I don't want free dlc.. I just want a new CE armor code since mine is apparently being used by someone else.

I sure hope my cerberus code is good once the game actually works.

Where did you purchase yours from? Take it back and tell them someone used the code. They should give you another one. If they don't tell them you will call corporate to complain.

If it's Gamestop ask to speak with the manager. I know the managers are my Gamestop and they are legit.

He did this over an hour ago...

Why does someone from Bioware have to call EA and tell them that their servers are broken? Doesn't EA have anyone who's JOB is to make sure the DLC servers are working? Why did they buy all of Mythic if not for experience in running big servers (their IP too...)

Well there are 2 seperate issues here, the DLC/social site fiasco, and the EA server just simply not being connectable.

EA can fix a server but I'm not sure how that addresses the "code already in use" for the PC CE users. I haven't run in to the problem myself yet seeing as how I can't even get past the game's attempt to log me in to EA.

EA has ALWAYS been horrible at this kind of thing. My mind is blown every time someone decides to use them as a publisher...

Bizarro thing was, I was the one that is using the key with my account.  Eventually I got past that little problem and am now in the cerberus holding pattern.

I think that the activation/cerberus issues could have been fixed by allowing those that pre-purchased to activate prior to launch.  Still cant play the game till launch day but at least that would be less people all trying to activate at once.

This really brings vivid images to my mind of my days of playing The Incredible Machine and trying to stitch together an intricate contraption powered by hamsters, only to discover a spare rubber band after everything was assembled.

I think EA lost the rubber band.

This is just stupid, you'd think EA would have been ready for this. For such a large company it's pathetic to see them totally unprepared. Very unprofessional looking and reflects poorly on them as a company.

well its nice you all can even play the game, alot of people (myself included) can't even get past loading screens. we haven't figured out what the cause is, or a way around it.

The servers are borked, so it probably won't go through for a while.

Uh, this is no fault of BioWare's? Its pure EA fail. And I bring on the Hate because EA deserves it. I really try to keep a level head with them. I try to look on the bright side and figure stuff happens. But they don't exactly make it easy to do so. Especially at times like this.

You have to ask yourself, did you REALLY not expect something like this? Did you REALLY not have a backup plan?
