Gotta admit the commercials were cool, but servers that work >>>>>>> neat commercials.

Guys, I understand we all want to play, inluding me. But dont bring on the hate so soon, Bioware I'm sure are trying to solve things as fast as they can.
Uh, this is no fault of BioWare's? Its pure EA fail. And I bring on the Hate because EA deserves it. I really try to keep a level head with them. I try to look on the bright side and figure stuff happens. But they don't exactly make it easy to do so. Especially at times like this.
You have to ask yourself, did you REALLY not expect something like this? Did you REALLY not have a backup plan?
How? Server issues like this happen all the time, even on servers designed to handle the load. It's a glitch, and it's unfortunate, but it happens. Welcome to the cloud, it's just as fallible as any other man made device. It isn't as simple as renting out a backup server, either.

They advertised the 2 minute trailer during the NFC Championship game Sunday night, but then when push comes to shove on launch day they just cannot keep up. It kills me. EA manages to screw up almost everything they are involved in.

I'm SO happy you guys were bought by EA, Bioware, it's just unbelievable. EA is like this shining ray of light that makes everything better.
I'm really looking forward to waiting two weeks again before I finally get the DLC THAT I PAID FOR.
Good job. Truly.

You do realize ASAP means As Slow As Possible, right?
And that EA stands for "Epic Atrophy"?

Prior to Dragon's Age Origins I never had a problem with any of Bioware's content or the delivery of their patches. Since their merge wtih EA and the promotion of greater DLC I have encountered problem after problem. Developers may see a great deal of value in aligning themselves with a production company, however it also severely damages your brand name. I have no doubt that Mass Effect 2 will be a fantastic game and that my complaints today will dissolve as soon as I get to enjoy it, but the analyst side of me protests this server downtime without a regular support documentation.

no you're not. you bought the game, and that comes with the cerberus card. if its not working its their fault. I have the same problem, but I will not settle for having to buy it seperately. Hopefully no one else does either.jd1215 wrote...
So i just entered my cerberus code on this site and it gave me the armor...lol I guess I'm going to have to get a cerberus code now.

That's not cynicism, it's simply the way things are.

That's pretty standard. You buy enough hardware to handle the load 95% of the time. It costs a lot more to cover 100% of the time, and they're out to make money, not provide a top-notch service. Notice how the only MMOs that have a smooth launch are the ones that go out of business in a few months.
