A few friends and I are planning to shoot a Mass Effect short fan-film. No profit is to be made, all credit goes to the good people over at BioWare/EA, disclaimers will be made. My question is, do I need some form of legal permission to use the setting/characters/locations and so on? if so, do i need to contact someone specific?
