Static Cage/Arcane Barrage interaction?

If I were to build a keeper with static cage (with the lightning cage upgrade) and arcane barrage, would I be correct in thinking a target inside the cage would take an extra 50% weapon damage for each of the 12 hits? As in 116% weapon damage per hit? As in 1,392% weapon damage total for the combo?

 

If that be the case I think I found my new build. I like to take arcane barrage to better deal with the odd stalker or shadow that slips by, but the damage seems a little.... meh against the meatwall units like behemoths and brutes. This would add a nice single target burst to a keeper build in addition to the support features.

I would be ever so grateful if any of you intrepid souls could test this for me! I would myself but my time is little and precious these days...

Havent tested it, but i imagine it should.  can confirm static cage + lightning cage works with all 12 of leaping shot's arrows.

Yes, and then with veilstrike and weakness on hit you also have a pretty good chance of getting 1 or 2 nightmare combos off for even more damage.  Add fury of the veil or deathward and you have a good chance of flattening all the enemies or healing up to full health.

The way you have it built you'd have to miss out on chain lightning upgrade or static cage upgrade. Maybe drop knight protector or reinforced barrier?

Casting energy barrage makes you move a small step, and interrupts the mana regen and CD reduction bonus from winter stillness.

 

In addition, I also found that in general a slow single target DPS, such as EB, is less effective than instant AOE damage. For instance, chain lighting plus cage does 1800% damage as long as there are at least two enemies trapped within.

Let a rogue use the paralyze status to get discharge combos.  Static cage + long shot can be devestating.

I tried it thinking this would be great about a month ago but it seemed to not proc right.. Possibly because of self-comboing. Try it with a friend who has EB or SC and you the other.

I hadn't noticed until I posted my build was off by the one point.  I definitely need the static cage upgrade, and I can't decide between the chain lightning or energy bombardment upgrade. I lean towards the chain lightning upgrade, I can simply see it is 500% more weapon damage on any given cast. On the other hand, I would like to see what kind of damage the magic resistance would add if I use an electric staff, seeing as how almost all of the damage in this build is electric. If the numbers on arcane barrage please me with the upgrade, I would probably drop knight protector.

Yeah, the energy barrage turning off winter stillness was always kind off a turn off. And I have always loved Chain Lightning and its crazy good damage and low cooldown, But in this instance 1,392% to a single target is appealing to me a little more than 900% to two targets. Thinking I really want both skills now though....
