Damn...that's awesome...it really makes me hopeful for the future of DA that there are small things like this that could possibly be expounded upon.....god the DA game where you actually deal with all the religions and "gods" will be ****** insane.

I have a feeling that the decision about who drank from the Well Of Sorrows is gonna bite us epically in DA4. :S

Also, Flemeth told Hawke in DA2, "maybe I AM a dragon." This would also explain Solas's hatred for Grey Wardens. Wardens kill Archdemons who might be elven gods.

I can totally picture the Devs looking at this whilst rubbing their hands together and deviously smirking. "Look at them, grasping at straws..." ![]()

Lol, this is Bioware we're talking about. For those who drank from the well, we'll get a tiny addition to a random letter stating that "while on his quest to vanquish the last of Corypeus' forces, the Inquisitor was overtaken by an unknown entity. While his followers won't go so far as to say he was possessed, his current whereabouts are unknown."
And if you didn't drink, you're whereabouts would still be unknown but for a different reason. Bioware school of choice.

Corypheus can apparently speak (or at least manipulate) the calling too, hence the whole Grey Warden arc at Adamant. Doesn't make him an Old God...... Or does it? Dun Dun Dun! (but seriously this is not a new power).
Unless I'm not mistaken that was a false calling by a Fear demon (or whatever Nightmare was), hence why not EVERY Warden was effected by it, just the vast majority (as the vast majority fear the calling, but presumably not Stroud, HoF, and probably a few others). An imitation. It's possible Mythal controls or created the actual thing, somehow.

Stroud said that he felt the false calling but that he resisted it but it was always there in the shadows of his mind or something like that.

Nah that was the nightmare demon producing the false calling not him, you find this out in the fade at adamant.

The Dirth and "bound to the same" is interesting since another poster speculated that there'll be a double blight of Falondin and Dirthamen due to them being twins and always with each other

One line of Flemeth's that sticks out to me after hearing this was (paraphrased) "I will avenge her[Mythal]! But alas, as long as the music plays the dance continues." Flemeth was making song and dance references back in Origins, and given the supposed lyrical quality of the calling, it makes me think that Flemeth is opposed to whatever's causing it, be it the Old Gods or something else. No clue how it could be preventing her revenge though.

If Mythal is an archdemon... Is the blight a revenge from the Elven gods against Tevinter? You know, for taking down Arlatharn, enslaving elves and such.

Mythal isn't an archdemon, at best she's one of the Old Gods. Tevinter didn't take down Arlathan, the elves did that on their own. They enslaved their own, too.
The origin of the blight is said to be in the Black City, a city in the Fade that Corypheus said was empty when he arrived. He contracted the blight there and became one of the first darkspawns... or so it is said. We do not know where the millions of darkspawn underground come from. We do not know what the blight is. We do not know what the Black City is. We only have theories and most of them have logic flaws.

I am almost positive about the Old Gods are actually the Elven Gods minus Solas and Flemeth.
Also not that relevant but if you have noticed before, there is a place named Solas in Tevinter

I thought Mythal takes over Solas at the very end of the game (after the credits roll) or am I wrong?
Devs confirm solas took mythal's power but mythal gave her godhood to Morrigan before hand.

Me too. I've been arguing this point for awhile now. There's too much evidence to support it. I think the old gods arn't just an aspect of, but are the actual elven gods. There were codexes that you're able to read after dining that tasks about the elven pantheon turned into dragons and it was a form reserved only to them.

I'm not sure what to make of this.
On one hand this is some cool info that gives some more insight into the lore and backstory of the setting.
But on the other hand, I feel like having everything funnel back to the elven gods makes the universe feel less dynamic than it was before.

Thanks OP. All the speculation information in this thread is great. I have completed this game twice now, and these discussions between Flemmeth and Solas have not occurred in my games. Weird.
