I think the blight has something to do with the forgotten ones. When it infects lyrium it speaks to you and makes you insane and influences all your bad tendencies. If my theory of the forgotten ones bring locked in the fade and creators in the physical world is close to correct then maybe the black city is just the forgotten ones version of arlathan l. This makes some sense that if the creators created a golden city, why wouldn't the forgotten ones create a black one? I think maybe they got locked away in their city and is kept away from everywhere. Thus you can never reach it. The blight is either them turning themselves into something else to get out and infect a physical world they couldn't normally exist in, or its something they just created to spread the influence if their essence.Mythal isn't an archdemon, at best she's one of the Old Gods. Tevinter didn't take down Arlathan, the elves did that on their own. They enslaved their own, too.
The origin of the blight is said to be in the Black City, a city in the Fade that Corypheus said was empty when he arrived. He contracted the blight there and became one of the first darkspawns... or so it is said. We do not know where the millions of darkspawn underground come from. We do not know what the blight is. We do not know what the Black City is. We only have theories and most of them have logic flaws.

That was also a nice one with Fenarel = Fen'Harel, makes me want to kill him even more than before.
Entirely rampant speculation of course ![]()

Nice find. After DA:O I would have found this creepy. Now, not so much. The cartoony gameplay has had its toll on me.

Or Solas takes over her soul. It's left ambiguous.
It is but I believe there is an hint hidden in the scenery.

Notice how the wolf's head looks upwards, howling, while the dragon bows hers.
Evidently, the wolf is Solas and the dragon is Flemeth. Thus, I believe the message here is the dragon falls while the wolf rises.

This isn't really surprising considering that this game seems to serve the function to reveal that most of the accepted history within the game is a lie. We learn the Dalish are just descendants of slaves, Tevinter didn't defeat the elves, the elves destroyed themselves and tevinter just picked up the pieces. The astrariums and notations on them all heavily suggest again that Tevinter super imposed it's own pantheon of gods and symbolisms onto the constellations that held meaning to the elven people, So it stands to reason they probably began worshipping whatever forces that ruled over the deposed elves, while of course renaming them and claiming the gods to be exclusively Tevinter in origin.
