for example, if I give a character 2 items with '3 guard on hit', will they get 6 guard on hit or 3? Or am I wasting masterwork slots when each character only needs 1 '3 guard on hit' item?

Oh and does it matter if its on a weapon or armor?

Oh and on an unrelated topic, is there a level cap in game? Im at 23 but im still earning xp

I don't think they do.  If you have 2 daggers with 10% hidden blades then each blade only has 1/10 of proc'ing rather than 20%.  I think someone confirmed that identical bonuses over write each other so you want to have different bonuses from materwork gear.  Not sure if that is the case for "on hit" and "being hit" bonuses.  I still use two hidden blade dagger since I basically get 2 rows with each attack.

only if they are different levels

like 4 hidden blades and 5 hidden blades are both 10% but they both can proc

my current favorite is:

10% / 20% / 30% berserk masterworks on my SnS warrior

nothing like taking 700% damage on nightmare to make you love combat roll

Identical bonuses don't stack, so one of those +3 guard on hits will be wasted.  A +5 guard on hit and a +3 should give you +8 per hit.

It doesn't matter if it's weapon or armor.  A Hidden Blades proc will work the same way whether you put it on armor or a weapon.  Same with guard on hit.  A "Heal 25% of damage taken over 10 seconds" works the same way whether you put it on a weapon or armor.

Doesnt matter on what it is, as long as it is equipped you are good to go. Same tier masterworks do not stack, different tiers work independently of each other.

 Fade-Touched Silverite.

I was wondering this myself. So thank you for the answers. I have a fade-touched silverite but it is the one that does lightening damage rather then the +5 guard on hit variant!

I'm rocking the fade-touched obsidian on my Knight Enchanters Battlemage Armor for the added guard (overkill with fade shield... I know lol). But with my Seer Staff I tend to dupe dragon teeth and keep crafting Seer Staffs till I get the Masterwork bonus!

Essentially a dragon tooth Masterwork bonus Seer Staff crafted from Dragon materials (for highest possible DPS) and a Superb Rune gives you 207 DPS. Essentially you Spirit Blade and Fade Cloak are absolutely devastating!  ;)

Definitely OP but in RPGs like this where I'm playing solo... I love OP and glitches like duping lol!
