I found that the renegade interrupts worked quite well for the reaction that I wanted - but then I didn't generally think that the cue was not informative enough, since I think of actions at a very high level (e.g. neutralise this threat).

I didn't find the cues informative enough even at a high level. I had literally no idea what any given interrupt was going to do.

And I like the NWN OC.

Everyone except the last I replayed multiple times. I might have had issues with many of the more modern Bioware games but Mass effect 3 is the only one I would say I dislike. The rest are all worthy of multiple playthroughs and it's pretty damn hard to rank them in order.

After creating multiple characters due to the horrid lighting , and awful hair that is screaming out to me to lower the alpha properties, plus is just ugly. Only 1 hair I will allow my girls to wear, I have lost the want to play.

Horrid lighting in CC and can not save until what seems like 2 hours of cutscene in the interactive movie have played.

My list looks something like this:

I enjoyed the above. I did not enjoy the following:

I go round and round on Mass Effect 2. Part of me thinks its the best, most complete product that Bioware have ever made. It may not have the definitive 'best' controls, graphics, story, writing, but all of them are very good. The 'Mean Streets of New York City' feel of Omega and the Illium Starport see Mac Walters in his element, and suggest Bioware should just let him do a hard boiled crime thriller/detective RPG. He'd do a great job on a game like that.

 

But yeah, ME2... Taken as a whole, its probably their best game, but I can't ignore the fact that it just doesn't speak to me in the way Mass Effect 1's 70's Hard Sci-fi, Cold War Espionage does. Nor can I ignore the sheer degree to which I get absorbed in the story and feel of playing the adventures of Hawke and her Kirkwall gang. KOTOR is iconic of course, but suffers slightly because IMO I thought Obsidian's KOTOR 2 completely eclipsed it. Frankly I consider KOTOR 2 to be better than all these games (and I'm saying that as someone who *loves* Mass Effect 1).

I have enjoyed all the Bioware games I have played at least in some way so even the lowest game on my list is still good. I am mostly considering story and characters so a game lower on the list might have a better combat system than a game higher, but have less interesting characters and story.

 

DAO: Incredible world building and characters the combat was also deep and tactical if a bit slow at low levels.

 

ME2: the characters were just so well done in this game some of the best Bioware has written.

 

ME: The reapers as an enemy when first introduced were such a great cosmic horror entity that I immediately felt the need to explore the story behind them and the diverse races with the excellent characters really drew me in to the world.

 

JE: Interesting setting for a western RPG with a really good story and great characters backing it up, and the big bad of the game was just amazing.

 

Kotor: The story was quite good although it felt like really familiar territory. characters were enjoyable enough with a few stand outs and the quest line on Kashyyyk with Zaalbar was really interesting with some great character development.

 

DAI: The villains were pretty bad here, but the companions were really interesting and the story was still enjoyable enough to keep me engaged.

 

ME3: The story overall was still decent up until the conclusion and the companions were still interesting (even though they were mostly the same characters from previous ME games) the villains were laughably bad at times though (Although if I was comparing gameplay ME3 would be higher if only because the MP)

 

DA2: Story was really hit or miss and the characters were some of the weakest I have seen from Bioware.

Mmh, it probably goes like this:

 

1)Dragon Age Inquisition and Mass Effect 2. These two, are basically equal in their own genre, with ME2 being the PERFECT SEQUEL and Inquisition being just an awesome, awesome game and a great addition to the saga that's already there. Dat Suicide Mission tough.

 

2)Dragon Age Origins is still and always will be fu**in amazing.

 

3)Mass Effect. 

 

4)Mass Effect 3. If the ending (Yes! I'm also talking of the director's cut stupid crap) didn't ruin it for me, it would've probably rank number 2. Hell! It could've probably been number 1.

 

5)Dragon Age 2. First time I finished DA2 I was all like "That's it?". And that's because the game pretty much ends when you're expecting it to blow your mind. I was disappointed, but just four days ago I finished it for the third time and I did understand that it's not a bad game. But it really is a joke if compared to Origins or any other recent BioWare game.
