Now, I really like Sera. She is really funny & interesting. My problem is I can't understand half the things she says. What we need is a translator that translates Seras weird illiterate babbling into plain text sub-titles so we can understand what she is actually saying & be able to respond accordingly. Because when ever my MC talks to her I mostly just end of picking random responces as I can't understand what she is saying.

I did. It just displays what she says. Not what she actually means so I still can't understand what she is saying.

I doubt the DA team is going to add a dialect translator for anyone.  I know it can be frustrating sometimes.  I didn't have any trouble, but I think I just got used to it quickly.  

 

I'm not trying to be snarky here, but maybe ask folks from the UK.  They can help you with the more causal slang.

It seems to me, based on some of the responses the Inquisitor has the options to give, that Sera being difficult to comprehend is kind of the whole point they wrote into her dialogue. Though I didn't have any trouble understanding her myself... she reminds me of one of my closest friends who kinda talks weird and out of order like Sera.

You're not the only one. I'm on my third playthrough and still can't comprehend what she's talking about. But I did have a small breakthrough when doing her recruiting mission again. I finally realized she was talking about stealing the enimies pants. I looked closely when fighting and saw that in fact they had no pants. I facepalmed and thought: Ohh that's what she was going on about.

I found her logic a bit more baffling than anything else.  I mean, it's there, sure.  It's just way off-the-cuff.

I think it adds to the immersion. Especially if you can't comprehend her well enough to decide which response will elicit which reaction. Just like in real life with some of the strange people I'm sure many of us know who don't always make sense with their twisty logics.

Here's a tip: Do her War Table missions.  She also likes it when you do things like humilate a noble instead of attacking, and also sentencing said noble to farmwork.  If you do a fair amount of options that help the common folk, it's pretty easy to get rep up.  

 

I also found that some dialogue moments can help.  One example surprised me the other day.  As a mage Inquisitor, when you are taking up the sword, you can get a special option.  Basically, you say that you're going to use your talents as a mage to show the world that not all of them are to be feared.  I got approval from Dorian and from Vivienne (as I expected,) and Sera slightly approved of that as well (which I didn't expect.)  As an aside, I didn't get any disapproval from that speech either.

 

Finally, when in doubt, pick the summary answers that seem the least confrontational with her.  For the most part, no matter if you understand her or not, pick the answers that go along best with her POV if you working on approval.   My mage is getting along with her better, but for my dwarf archer, "Smile and nod," became her default reaction.

Her dialogue contains many nonsklarkish English flutzpahs, but the overall pluggandisp can be glorked from context.

My problem with Sera (aside from her abrasive personality and broken logic) is that she has an unique dialect. Where does it come from? She grew up in the alienage in Denerim and we know that no one there talks like her. It makes no sense for her to have a dialect unless she talked that way just to be difficult.

Sera doesn't hate mages, if you talk to her after allying with mages, this is basically what she says: "mages are ok, it's their magic I'm afraid of" so you saying that line as an IQ is very reassuring to her.

LOL I can understand how some people may find Sera's language foreign and difficult to follow.

 

That manner of speech is that of South East Londoners, often referred to as "cockneys" and they use cockney rhyming slang that is sometimes incomprehensible by those not familiar with their "dialect".

Sera's is not quite as severe, but that is the background of it. It originates from the part of the population in London that are less privileged and somewhat less educated.

Like I said, she is not using actual cockney rhyme, because no one would understand any of it. But the accent, the sentence structures, the "yeah" at the end of every sentence....it is very distinctly South East London.
