To my knowledge, no one will be upset so long as you don't lock a romance with character X and then flirt with Y.

Exactly.  My current female Inquisitor flirted with every woman you could flirt with.  Eventually you'll been given a choice on whether you want to continue the romance or not.  Once my relationship with Josephine was locked, I stopped flirting with anyone who wasn't Josephine; my Inquisitor became a one-woman woman.

Take it as you will-- that is exactly how my Trevelyan worked out!

As male Lavellen I flirted with everything and everyone with hilarious results. (well except Blackwall an Solas, they just don´t have the heart options if you are male, I suppose)

Cullen told me pretty soon, he considers me as friend an no more.

Sera agreed that we have much in common, which means "wimmin"

Iron Bull stopped by, which got Cassandra jealous.

I endet my short lived affair with Bull and got some threats by Leliana, because of my behaviour towards Josephine.

Talked about this with Josie (very good cutscene).

Avoided a Romance with Dorian because I was after Cassandra.

And... ahhh Cassandra. My one and only.

Flirted not so much anymore after her, but still, she did´t knock my teeth out.

Playing a flirt is very easy with the deeper german voice. It´s quite fitting. The VA is superb imo.

And there is so much drama to enjoy this way.

The only one to be careful with is Blackwall AFAIK, you can get flagged/locked into a relationship with him very quickly if you play female.  Not sure if that's intentional knowing Blackwall.

I also want to point out, when playing female, Dorian is SO easy to max approval with due to flirt options that never go any where, it's kinda ridiculous.

Quite.

My boyfriend was playing a female human and Blackwall got quite serious after the first or second heart option.

Most companions keep you in suspense a lot longer.

What I enjoy about the heart options (at least with the above-mentioned voice actor), they all sound so very friendly. Most of them I would say to a good friend without any romantic intentions. An the timing and phrasing is A LOT better than in DA:O and DA:2 (which I liked).

It was so awkward telling Anders he looks good after he just told you his life. Same goes for Fenris. No one in their right mind would chose such a moment for such a terrible flirt attempt.

Inquisition ist marvelous in that regard.

Bioware got a lot better at writing this stuff.

As much as I like DA2, I have to agree that the flirting bits were often a little too forward which would be fine if the one you flirt with actually flirted back or even acknowledged it.

Anders: Mages! Justice!
Hawke: At least he can't complain about his looks anyway.
Anders: Death to Meredith!

Only Isabela does. Hook and mainsail lol.

Its not a problem. I literally flirted with everything that moved and romanced Cassy without an issue. She's a hard one to romance, you have to just about throw her against a wall and be like "******, you're mine!"

No doubt she would rip off Inquisitor´s balls after something like this.

Flowers, dear lord. Candles... Poetry... had to kill a bear for that book...

Loved every bit. :)

Ironically enough, If you don't ride the bull (Or really, get ridden by the bull since he's clearly the pitcher) and don't pursue Dorian, those who hook up. :P
Some of the party banter is pretty awesome.

I did as well. I like her because she reminds me of myself. I'm a true romantic at heart, underneaths lots and lots of jaded opinions, pessimism, and cynicism.

Isabella was my fav character and Li on DA II , maybe someday I'll change back my keep info to make her the official Li of my brohawke instead of Anders.

I didn't know that, judging by their initial banter that's the last romance I would have thought lol. I wanna hear about it in future playthroughs (I have planned one romancing cassandra someday).

There are rumours about how flirting plays into whether you get to dance with Cassandra or Josephine at the winter palace (some people hold that if you want to dance with Cassandra you can't flirt with Josephine at all), but it's very unclear if this actually matters.

I assume this applies if you are not yet in a relationship with one yet? On my male inquisitor I was in a relationship with Cassandra long before the Winter Palace and so we danced at the end.

I was surprised to notice that if you're female and in a relationship with Cullen, he doesn't give a crap if you flirt with Dorian. Because, obviously, it's not serious. I was happy to know they allowed such a nuance rather than have Cullen confront you on shamelessly flirting with a gay man.

It's great because once you get to Dorian's personal quest, you are basically locked in for max approval as a female inquisitor, you get heaps of approval when you ask him to keep flirting with you.

But then Mother Giselle gets in your face about it.

I remember one instance where I was flirting with Cassandra and Josephine every chance I'd get, but I choose to start a romance with Josephine.

To my surprise, when I spoke to Cassandra, she brought up the subject of the "rumors" that me and Josie were involved.

I had a heart option that asked her if she was jealous to which she made painfully clear that she was but tried to hide it.

Always happens for me almost immediately after Dorian's quest, he apologizes for leading me on and says he'll stop flirting, then I choose the "don't you dare" option of whatever and next thing I know Giselle is up their yelling at Dorian and the inquisitor about "you know what this looks like!"

Mother Giselle gets in your face regardless, even if you tell Dorian that you can still be friends (because Tevinter), I'm pretty sure she was trying to get rid of him when handing you his father's letter and it was her who initiated the contact with his parents.

Yes, it was fantastic.

But then, I get the impression Cullen and Dorian end up friends in any case. Chessmance ftw!

And Giselle gets in your face once you get to a certain relationship level with Dorian whether you romance, or flirt, with him or not. She just does not approve of this mage from Tevinter.

I liked her right until that moment. After that, I wanted to smack her smug face. ;)

Ah. I remember her not approving of Dorian but nothing specific about flirting with him. Just that he's Tevinter and it doesn't look good for the Inquisition.
