So we know this game ha religious undertones. Is there a scene or scenes in the game that is almost satanic in its depiction?

Okay just an opinion. As far as I see it knowing about Corypheus and his history I believe he is a direct plagiat of the devil and all the magisters that became the darkspawn can be believed to be fallen angels from christian mythology. Afterall they were all thrown out from heaven and became darkspawn, similar to angels thrown out and became demons. Then we can assume that Corypheus was their leader and actually lead this rebellion aka Lucifer/Satan. Then we have another darkspawn that can think and talk, the artictect. He could be another powerful fallen angel like Asmodeus. That the magisters were thrown out of heaven and became darkspawn, is too similar to fallen angels becoming demons, to be a coinsidence. That is just my theory. And then we have the nightmare demon. Perhaps more powerful than any of them. it feeds on people fears throughout thousands of years. I don't know what this is, but could be people fear of dying or questening their faith. i believe the nightmare demon to perhaps be the most powerful creature in this world. It is like a parasite that feeds on the fear of people and grows throughout the millenias. But Corypheus is most defiantly a parallel to the devil. I believe this

The tevinter magisters are nowhere near the level of the archangels. They're just patsies for higher powers.

I'm no theologian, but to me the story of the magisters in the Black City has more in common with the story of the Tower of Babel; humanity punished for hubris. Also, Coryoheus wasn't the leader of the magisters, he just co-ordinated their actions; they were all in competition with each other  because they beilieved only one of them could become a god.

The only thing I can think of that might be what you're looking for is the concept of the Void in the Chant of Light. It's where bad stuff comes from and where you go when you die if you don't believe in the Maker. You should really look up the Chant of Light on the dragon age wiki though.

Not in Inquisition, no.

But the Architect is basically a classical Lucifer character to the darkspawn. He is defying the known order to bring them self-awareness and enlightenment. Which is not, if you really want to parse the differences, not a 100% Satanic. But it was close enough to get you a warm spot on the pyre during the real-world Inquisition.

The elven pantheon is particularly interesting, but I'm not convinced that even there we have a defined evil entity. Fen'Harel is not the evil entity.

The Elven pantheon does have the Forgotten Ones, who opposed the Creators and whom teh Dread Wolf sealed away as well.

Of course, we know almost nothing else about them.  For that matter, we know almost nothing abou tthe elven gods in general.

This is a new theory from looking at the chant of light verses here:

http://dragonage.wik...of_Light_verses

I don't know know if anyone have discovered this yet but look at the Andraste 14, it says

"Here lies the abyss, the well of all souls."

Okay what was the qust in the fade called. exactly the above. this makes me believe that the section of the fade you were in, is actually Dragon Age's version of hell. My theory is, that it is actually the abyss/Void that are talk about or the ternal city were the forgotten ones are trapped. And yes I think the nightmare demon is a forgotten one. Why else would it say "Here lies the abyss, the well of all souls" in the chant of light vers. In the fade section we are also told that noone has been so close to the black city before, so it is deep.I think it is the abyss itself in the fade section. What do you think?.

I think that scene at Adamant, where the Wardens are doing a blood magic ritual is kind of Satanic, though. It looks it, although it may be more in line with "sacrifice" rituals of ancient religions.

Well I think Corypheus and the Old Gods/Archdemons are aspects of Satan personally, I think BioWare is into that Illuminati symbolism stuff.

Don't flatter yourself. Seriously. I'm not following you, I happen to be posting on the same Dragon Age forums as you. I read most every thread on here, and guess what? You're going to run into a lot of the same users posting in different threads when you read and make posts on these forums.

Nobody is following you. Your necromancy is conspicuous. Unless you are secretly Dorian in disguise, you should probably knock it off.
