Does anyone think Bioware should incorporate Fenris in a later DLC or expansion?

So I am still reeling from the romance between my Hawke and Fenris and after finding out that Fenris will only be getting a small cameo in da3 I can't help but wonder. Will they incorporate our romances in future DLC or future game content in general?

The way I see it is this. Players going through the game develop connections and veterans would appreciate having the option to continue past romances.

Is this just me or does anyone else feel this way? It's truly not a big deal, but I would certainly appreciate an encore of my favorite DA character. =(

Unlikely comsidering Fenris can be killed, similar to other characters. Why waste DLC time on a character that people either killed, sold back to slavery or might not egen like?

Definitely. A special quest in Minrathous, involving the Venatori, a new Magister of Old or a Qunai invasion, with a very special participation of Dorian and perhaps his father, representing House Pavus during one of the sessions in the Magisterium.

Because

How can you resist?

To answer your question OP, I don't really think so. At least, if rumors are right that we're going to Tevinter. He's an escaped slave after all. That's worse than a wanted criminal. He's better off wherever he is that isn't there.

I love Fenris, he's my goto romance in DA2 but it's very unlikely we'll see him again. With how things go in DAI even seeing Hawke again is a bit iffy.

Ah well. I suppose you guys are right. Hopefully you aren't, and I will hold a smidgen of hope that he returns someday.

I think it's unlikely, but sure, wouldn't mind seeing him again if there is a good plot line to work him into where it makes sense.

I usually don't like to see cameos just for the sake of cameos, and that goes for any character, especially ones I like a lot...there should be some plot reason to show up, or else I'd rather just keep my headcanon and not mess with the character too much. But if the writers have a good use for him, then yeah.

If they do, I won't buy it. I have no interest in seeing most of the DA 2 characters brought back.

This. The less anime characters in dragon age, the better. If you ask me. And anyway, I just want them to focus on our new cast. They deserve more attention before we move on yet again.

No, I like cameos to be kept to a minimum.

That said, if there were some DLC that dealt with whatever mystery happened to Hawke/Alistair/Loghain/Stroud at Weisshaupt, I do think it would make sense for Hawke's LI to have a cameo in that, since Varric seems to imply that they'll go to him/her.  Other than that I can't see Fenris (or most of the others) showing up.

Wouldn't mind seeing Izzy again though as for Fenris eh, nah don't care enough. He's probably too busy brooding somewhere.

I know many people didn't care for DA2 (although I didn't really have anything against it and enjoyed it). I think it would be a good idea for them to release DLC at the very least. Otherwise they aren't doing the companions that many of us love justice. What's the point in devoting dialogue, time, and energy into characters that are dead to us afterwards? Just for the sake of the enjoyable gameplay I suppose.

He wasn't one of my favorites, but I wouldn't mind seeing Fenris. Especially with this new gfx engine, and his unique powerset (seems like he'd get some of the Templar and Reaver skills alike).

How can there be a DLC involving Fenris when he's back in Tevinter serving Danarius?

The DA2 characters had DA2 (and Legacy and MotA).  What's the point of a new game if all it does is revisit old characters?  And aside from that, they're not dead to us (unless they died in-game, of course) - there are mentions of them from a couple of characters, so it's not as though they've vanished from the universe.

Enough of the characters in DAI were already returnees, so I'd rather see new DLC to expand on the new characters.  And I say that as someone who enjoyed DA2.

I think I've seen this thread in three places... I'll just paste what I put in one of the other ones:

It would be interesting to see him interact with Dorian, but if any of the DA2 companions should come back it would be Merrill, imo.
She spent several years working on an Eluvian (and one the exact same as hers has been spotted in the Eluvian crossroads), she's deep into elven history and culture, she's familiar with blood magic, which opens story possibilities the Inquisitor's group doesn't have. Her Eluvian even had the Blight, which raises some interesting questions. She's possibly the lover of the Champion of Kirkwall, and old friend to the Hero of Ferelden. Plus, I'd love to see her interacting with Morrigan or Solas. So many possibilities.

You know, I think Fenris is a great character and FenrisXHawke is a permanent thing when I play DA2 but a) since we have a different PC continuing the romance isn't an option
b ) there are waaay too many possible variables for Fenris (never recruited, dead, returned to slavery, romanced etc) for him to have a large part in any future content. This goes for any character with multiple possible fates

Personally, I think all the DA2 LIs got ignored in Inquisition - Fenris could serve a great purpose in getting Dorian knocked out of his privileged bubble about slavery, Merrill (the Dalish eluvian expert) should have at the least been tied up in Morrigan's role, if not had that position instead, Anders would want to do something to clean up his own mess given that he sparked the mage-templar war... The only one I have difficulty fitting in is Isabela. So I would LOVE it if patches/DLC/expansion packs came along and put them back in.

I think this should be the next chapter in Fenris' story arc.

After Hawke was sacrificed to the Nightmare Demon Fenris becomes a bearded recluse with PTSD nightmares about Hawke. One day he goes to the nearest village for supplies and runs into hunters planning on going on a wolf hunt. Later on he encounters an injured poisoned wolf that he's taken a liking to since going into seclusion and puts it out of his misery. Enraged he returns to the village to confront the hunters in a local tavern. Before butchering them he's stopped by an exotic looking Qunari rogue that wants to take him back to Seheron. She explains that she works for a dying Fog Warrior Shaman that he saved many years ago and that before this Fog Warrior dies he'd like to reward him for his effort. Fenris begrudgingly agrees and travels with the Qunari Rogue to Seheron. After being introduced to other minor characters in the plot Fenris finally meets his old friend. The Shaman who is now a powerful war leader among the Fog Warriors explains that he can take Fenris' source of anguish away (his lyrium tattoos) and that these tattoos would be able to cure the Shaman of his condition. Fenris doesn't agree to the Shaman's offer. The same night the Shaman seemingly dies and his granddaughter inherits his power and responsibilities among their people much to her father's jealousy and chagrin. While this is going on unbeknownst to Fenris he is poisoned and loses his lyrium tattoo powers. For the first time since he received his markings he is vulnerable....

then something something and so concludes the plot of the Wolverine erm I mean the Fenris.

I like Fenris, and he's my canon Hawke's romance (ok my only Hawke, have never been able to bring myself to replay DA2), but I don't really feel that he'd add much to DA:I.  Unless future games draw on elements of his past specifically, he's just not that important of a character, overall.

In any case I'd kind of prefer our PCs from previous games get used as little as possible in future, I think, so that I can just imagine what kind of a life or death they'll have for myself.  Plus, I think a total change of pace - say, a huge leap forwards or backwards in time/geography - could be fun.

I forsee Fenris sharing Zev's fate sadly.

Hopefully though he and Hawke will stick together from now on. Fenris not being with Hawke in Inquisition was absurd.

You mean Danarius and Fenris.
