I'm guessing maybe the push to get a patch out means no weekend event?

Weekend event is up on ps4 right now. Greatswords and elemental damage, oddly enough it says the reward is a chest and not a commendation chest.

No, why would it? They didn't stop during the holidays. It's Greatsword kills and Elemental kills btw.

Just killed 73 demons predominantly with my staff - but it has a killer fire rune.

Surely even base staves do elemental damage.

 

By that account I have a rune on my Greatsword - can I do both at once??

Just tried Katari for the first time with greatsword and I loled the whole mission how he was rubber-banding with Charging Bull around the map, sometimes I could not stop him!! :)

Sort of. I did the greatsword one first and got about 5 elemental kills out of it by the time I was done.

Sounds simple enough. Though I won't be doing the Challenges too soon due to work, I was curious to know what they are like.
And I presume they leave us down to 1h Swords and 2h Mauls for the next weekend.

I thought so as well, but I did a routine game with my low level Elementalist solo where I died mid run because I was way too gung-ho, end screen said I had 12 staff kills, but only 9 counted towards the event.

do we have to get this post every week if the weekend event isn't exactly on time? they just got back from vacation.... patches need time to be certified through microsoft.. even if it was done today they have to wait on certification. stop these stupid posts.
