Why was TNG Season 1 so terrible? Because Riker didn't have a beard yet!

How did Riker's transporter clone (Thomas RIker) survive for 8 years alone on a barren world? Because he grew a beard!

How do you know that Thomas Riker has become a bad guy when he joined the Maquis in DS9's "Defiant"? Because he now sports a goatee!

What is the first clue that alternate Riker in "Parallels" has gone crazy after the Borg killed everyone? Because he stole Mel Gibson's beard!

Why did Star Trek: Insurrection suck? Because Troi shaved off Riker's beard!
