For some reason when you get the burning status effect, the damage over time ticks three times every second. Due to that, fire wraiths can ruin your day on Perilous with just a few of their homing projectiles when you don't have a barrier.

I don't have any screenshots or video clips, but it might be worth looking into.

I refuse to believe that's WAI. It's horrible that the mobs I fear the most are ****ing wraiths.

Guess we'd better watch out for Reegar Carbine toting Wraiths.

I've always felt something was off about fire wraiths, even on threatening.

Is there anything that isn't in your thread?

Yeah, burn damage is so deadly :(  It'd be nice to also have a comparison on player initiated burns on enemies.

Remember all the fun you had terrorizing those poor husks with your Flamer Vorcha?  Bioware's biting back, baby!

I think it's "magic" damage too, so my Katari has been burned to death from about 3/4s health at times with his low resistance...   WAI...

Fire DoT can be pretty deadly.

Maybe its working as intended.  Wraiths have fire cheese, Archers have 1 hit counter cheese.

Yellow wraiths should be the first to go down. I guess it is working as intended but the DoT is a bit high, especially on Perilous.

Does this with poison dots from those chest guardians i proceeded to cry cause i actually got hit by one and died.

So yes i've noticed the derpy ticking on the fire as well.

I've noticed some heavy handed ticks from more than a few enemies.

-Vint mages, when they do their little elemental dodge slide backwards thing. Haven seen it again, but I touched the electric puddle on the floor, saw 5 electricity numbers pop up, and i died immediately. Was on an alchemist, so possibly just too squishy, but the 5 different sets of numbers thing threw me off.

-Fire wraiths, also seeing the 3-5 numbers per tick. I've had 1 wraith shot take out a full barrier bar on a lv19 lego. Seems a little.... too much.

-Chest Guardians, zone 1. Have only seen the poison on the bow guys. I didn't see the multiple number tick issue, but i have a hard time believing the poison is supposed to hit so hard.

Since we're talking about burning, it seems that holding shield wall up can block burning damage without consuming any stamina.  That said I've not tested it consistently, just something I noticed.

Seems on par with archers having 800% modifier skills to be honest.

Yeah, I just experienced this for the first time and damn does that put our Frost Step to shame.  Coincidentally, I was also playing the Alchemist, trying to finish off the mage when her health went from near full to zero.

Worth noting that dispell or spell purge will remove their elemental status and turn them green again.
