So, I've been playing quite alot now and found things both satisfying and disappointing. I've read plenty forum posts and agreed to what many have already been writing. Now I want something off my chest as well.
One of the things that saddens me is(as many of you've notices aswell), the lack of party banter. But what I'd really want to see added in game, not just more banter between party members, but between the Inquisitor and party memebers.
I loved that in Origins you could just stop and ask what Leliana knew of a place's history, or give your LI a random kiss in the middle of a forest(Alistair remarking about the perks of travelling alone ;3 ), or just talk to them for lols.
I'd love to take my LI(if a member of along takeable companions) solo out with me to some forest or some beach and be able to have a one-on-one banter with him/her. I don't think that would be too difficoult to manage with a game of this status.
It would bring more depth to the now rather shallow romances imo. Atleast I would have more chances to grow attached to my LI and friends.
In Origins I loved how you slowly learned to know the people around you. You learned to love/hate them depending on what kind of character your warden was, or why not according to how the player him/herself clicked with them.
As sad as this might sound, I also miss the jealousy between the possible LIs and the Warden. I found it cute how they fought for his/her attention and you actually got the feeling they were falling in love with him/her. Here the romances just feel like a given.. You take the initiative and off you go!
In Origins I loved how the LIs could also take the initiative by calling you beautiful or handsome, and giving you personal gifts. And you could react with a surprised approval, a smooth flirt-back or even reject the idea as stupid or riddiculous. *sigh* I do so miss the depth the romances had in Origins, being a hopeless romantic myself. I hope this could be brought back in future expansions..

And now to something completely unrelated (asiasta kukkaruukkuun, as we say in Finland:P), the possibility to change the colour of your armor. So far I loooove customizing armor and weapons. But I hate not being able to, for example, dress my saint of an Inky in all white, and my douche-bag-inky in all black. That would help alot with my ability to relate to my character.
Like I did in, for instance, the Fable games. I adored the shining white clothing for the saint and the dark clothing for the devil, it added to their nature and attitude TONS! So that would be awesome here too. Seeing your white shine in the sunlight.. Your dark meld you into the shadows.. aahh.. Which reminds me that a day/night cykle would also be appreciated. :D

That's all for me! Now I feel a stone lifted from off my heart! Congratulations to you who read my full rant, I admire your determination! :D Peace and cheers for a brighter game-experience!

I'd just be happy if the colours on the good stats materials didn't clash horribly.... Vivienne, I'm so sorry ;_;

The party banter issues can be partially addressed by forming your group via the war table and then traveling - should help you get more of it. As for armor colors, heh, yeah...that can be hit or miss depending on what you have. I did find this rather fetching silk (forget the name atm), but it looked really nice. Unfortunately, I don't have enough of it for a new set of robes yet (oh well).

As I played through DAI, I found myself wishing the romances involved more quests, more dialogue, basically just MORE. I thought the romances in DAO were good, as you said, but limited by the fact that your character never actually spoke. I think ME2 and ME3 have the best romances of any Bioware game, I wish DAI was more like those.

I thought that patch 2 fixed the banter bug. After that patch, I was getting a lot more banter than in my first play-through.

Great opening post!

Anyway, I'm finding (as Atreiya pointed out above) that fast traveling from the war table has made a substantial difference. I've also been keeping fewer saves- typically no more than five. Occasionally I will reload a fresh autosave if I notice that banter has subsided, and it seems to help. I also rotate my party more often now.

I just gave her robes of bright gold king's willow weave, combined with bright orange dragon webbing. She looks miserable everytime I take her out, like a big toxic spill. Or a neon light in a seedy location.

Thanks for the comments guys, you warm my cushy heart! ^-^

Sure, I have some party banter pop up now and again, but I'd like to be able to join in more often. :D And as I said earlier, I'd like to be able to "click" on my companions, to open up a similar window as there was in Origins, where you could specifically talk to one companion out there in the open world. Maybe get their opinion on the surroundings, what they're thinking about, give them a random hug or kiss - and so forth. More interaction in general. It  would add so much more depth to your relationships with your followers. Not gonna repeat my whole post here though.. Sorry, I get so carried away.. xD

Just earlier today I took my elfy rogue maiden on a quick trip to the Dalish camp in the Exalted Plains to do some shopping, so I only brought along that heartbreaker Solas. That's when it hit me how nice it would be to engage in an conversation with him there, have him praise the perks of travelling alone for example(like Alistair so flirtatiously did in Origins x3) ;D You know, do all those things a real couple - passionately in love - would do if the world could end soon.

I agree that the romances in Mass Effect had much more romantic depth in them. The romances in Inquisition are okay, I just wish for so much more. xD . . .What a sad and lonely person I must seem like, being so stuck up on this. . .hehehe

Thanks again, though, for your patience. :D

Awww, I feel your pain. I thought I made a cool armor for my Inky earlier today, turns out, it wasn't that pretty in the sunlight. :D

Lol yea I will not craft armor with clashing colors and patterns. I will collect and collect tons of materials until I'm able to craft good matching armor. The party doesn't have to match but the armor one wears must look good as well as provide good protection. I wish we could use dye's like in Fable

When Vivienne started talking to me about keeping up appearances it was one of the few things we agreed on and I was hoping she'd actually hook me up with sum fashionable armor after that conversation.

I seem to get more banter by going through the war table (which can get annoying when I'm grinding quests) and I change my party everytime I go to a different area. As far as romance, I think its fine, I liked Cullens romance, loved IBs. Just wish there was more to Solas's and I have yet to romance the others.

It would be nice if the lower tier materials wouldn't be jarring, too. I've been crafting armour since the beginning of the game, so there is no access to better materials. Have you seen plaidweave on Cassandra? Or Bronto hide scout armour on the Quizzy... :D

I dunno. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally ended up talking to my companions when I was trying to do something else. Especially awkward when they went into one of the "special" conversations and you're suddenly having this deep heart to heart talk while standing in the middle of the deep roads or something. >_>

Watching Blackwall and the inquisitor strut in shiny golden armor is soooo ostentatiously delicious.

Well sure, those were a bit awkward. :'D But still, I usually just laughed them off. xD Rather that than this silent, staying out of conversations-thing, that's going on now.

I just got a flashback to the "You don't really have to accompany me, do you?" option in the beginning of Origins and Alistair promised to try and not to embarrass me. That was such a personal thing to say, ask and get an answer accordingly to. I remember it even though it was no bigger conversation in scale to anything else you talked about with him later on about.

Small things like that. You could ask the questions and they answered. Now you just ask the questions and everyone else talks, you never get to tell anyone anything you think or feel yourself, apart from some exceptions ofc. I dunno, I just can't connect to the characters here as I did in Origins, or even DA2 for that matter, even if that game was rather.... how to put it politely... not entirely horrid, but atleast the romances were passionate. And there, when your mom was mutilated and killed, your LI came to comfort you. :D When clan Lavellan died no one gave a single s*it. Not even the LI. I really needed some comforting then.

You've got crafting skills then. I'm a bit jealous. :3 It seems no matter what I do there's always that ugly matte blueish grey or brown colour on the majority of the armor that I can't ignore. :P

dragon bone, dragon webbing and dragon scales

Remember also that what you use as Masterwork piece WILL influence the final color

Thank you for the advice. :3 Though.. I doubt I can still get pure white or pitch black armors..? But if I can get rid of that blueish-grey-brown colour I'm more than happy to overlook this little obsession of mine regarding the pure white to pitch black hickup I have atleast. :D Thank you, again. ^-^

Depends...what armor are you trying to make?

Right now I'm playing a rogue archer, and I like the overall look on the Hunter Scout Mail(? The one with the flowy back bit, not the one with those ugly yellow-mustardy side pieces) and the armors that have the same feel in general. I'd love it to have the purple of Lazurite or Dawnstone on the metal parts and the rest a pure white colouring, cause she has white hair and pinkishly-purple makeup. But so far I haven't found anything pure white. :S The nugskin is close, but still too pink, and the Halla leather is too greenish, I had expected that to have a brighter white colour, but apparently Halla turn green after you've skinned them(..dem feels though. Poor animals...T^T). So yeah, I dunno what to do. So far I've just accepted defeat and played with what the Maker gave Thedas. :P

Dragon scales are white when used on armor. Dragon bone makes armor plates gold
Dragon webbing can turn red/orange

Only use drsgon tooth or essence of perfection as Masterwork.

That should do it

Find an armor that uses mostly leather and metal and no cloth and you are good

Wow, thank you so much! :D I appreciate the help! I'll try this out as soon as I've killed a few dragons with her! Really, thank you!

I promise you...my battlemaster armor has solid white ( actual white) fabric and gold armor plates.

Go to the hissing wastes and race to the canyon merchant. Pick up prowler armor....or farm for battlemaster COAT armor schematics but make then with SILVERITE metal so your rogue can wear it even if it is heavy....use Dragon scales and you b will have solid white fabric and pure silver metal

Again, thank you so much! :3 I appreciate you taking the time to help me! I promise it's not out of laziness I write here in hopes of getting free advice, I'm just really slow when it comes to armors and learning their mechanics.. Have the same problem in WoW. xD Luckily a friend of mine taught me the value of Leather armor, agility, stamina and critical strike for a Night Elf Druid(who prefers cat form), so now at least I rock the stats on that class. :'D
