So im about 63 hours into the game and still not even killed a single dragon, i feel compared to mages my warrior is just crap, I tried going 2H warrior just now but I don't seem to do more damage than my sword and shield warrior,not to mention dying super fast with lack of block and guard, the counter block thing seems useless to me.
I also picked templar and that seems just as bad, purge seems to work or not and I find little ways to even see if mobs have purgable buffs on them as sometimes it does damage and sometimes it doesn't, blessed blades I've heard doe snot even work and you have to stand in the small circle to even gain the buff.
I have blackwall in the party as a tank also and he is a champion and much better at staying alive and keeping agro, I really feel disappointed in both my class choice and the WEAK feeling of playing a warrior compared to the other classes.
Feel weak and useless as a warrior templar on nightmare, regret going warrior...

and if you having problems in nightmare as a 2 hand temp then it's probably your gear, your party set up or just how you play.
I am playing with an extra 600% damage on my character [i have all 3 berserk masterworks] and i am strugglign but I am playing solo nightmare where each arrow/spell is 700% NM damage
Templar is amazing. Wrath of Heaven + Spell purge = self detonation combo for massive spirit damage
What level are you and what race?
You want to survive better?
Grappling chain+ crippling blows and combat roll+ [5 points battle master] [2 if you wont use combat roll upgraded grap chain]
block and slash and flow of battle / mighty blow+ and shield breaker [5 two hander]
challenge/war cry -> charging bull+ [3 vanguard]
then max out templar - minus rally
charging bull is free stamina for abilities like wrath of heaven/mighty blow and if you grap chain -> charging bull then fidn the nearest downed enemy and hit them with mighty blow for lots of damage
another burst is:
charging bull -> wrath of heaven -> spell purge
anyone on the ground afterwards? -> blessed blades/mighty blow
or if you skip grap chains upgrade to save points for combat roll
grap chain -> charging bull [stop short] then hit the enemy you downed with mighty blow

I'm lv 13, i have decent gear, but no upgraded with runes etc, i can't find the mats to craft them as they take soo much.
I have blackwall as full tank, dorian as fire mage and solas as lightning both with barrier.

Well alot of the lightning skills are bugged so you might want to make solas pure spirit and skiip rift mage until you have more points and make dorian the DPS mage with one point in spirit = back up barrier.
Disable barrier on dorian so when you are in trouble and need a barrier you know who to go to.
have dorian:
barrier
1 point
Immolate and upgrade
Clean burn
flashpoint
wall of fire + upgrade
Fire mine + upgrade
8 points
winter:
winter's grasp+ upgrade
fade step [escape button!]
Mana surge [broken barrier = free spell no mana]
try that for dorian.
for solas give him
winter's grasp +fade step + immolate [no upgrades]
then max out spirit tree but not mindblast and the passive after that.
then work your way into rift mage stone fist/veilstrike your choice
when blackwall get's his champ spec
max out the right side first and still give him alot of vanguard abilities
dont upgrade line in the sand hell dont even use it.

Ill try that soon, i'm trying sera at min as a rogue to mix thigns up but it seems worse, not sure an archer is really worth it compared to what a mage can offer with more dmg types and support.
ps. why when i'm doing this fade mission is alistair not with me? i made him king in the other game and logan was NOT executed, yet i have hawke and stroud? wtf have i been playing the game all this time without king alistair talking to me etc, wtf?????????

Blessed blades is bugged tooltip says 15% damage and even more against demons, it does no damage and only a boost against demons. That is by definition bugged. Even its name is wrong it does not bless your weapons instead it blesses the fuking ground.

Not saying its unplayable but its definitely not optimal when W&S is by itself a better alternative. The thing is though it can be better. But if sword and board is better than 2 handed, what is the point of going 2 handed for dps then.
That is my issue as all the damage skills of a 2 handed warrior are conditional, mighty blow is only 200% unless you use it on a knocked down opponent, basic math wise payback does 400% upgraded and 600% when you have taken a hit, that beats out the might blow out of the water as it does more damage and it cools down faster and costs less stamina.
Finally we also have broken detonators, hopefully they will get fixed, but should not have even been broken from the start. Its like there was no combat testing or any balance analysis done.
The strongest dragon solo, the ravager takes us good 5-8 mintues? while a assassin can wipe it away in 20 seconds flat. Something is wrong with the balance of the world, i mean if assassins and rogues in general can kill stuff solo faster, why do we even need warriors. What role do they fulfil now. That is my issue that balance is out of whack as the disparity between offence of warriors to the other classes is on the extreme side. Right now warriors feel unnecessary to dragon age as they serve no purpose. Damage no, Tanking everyone can with easy to get enchants, what role does a warrior actually serve in this game.
Now regarding assassins they fit their description, take templar instead magic negating which in earlier games used to be nice 50% or more. This game its 10%, they even lost their bonuses against mages . Hell 2 out of 3 warrior specializations require corrupting the player via lyrium or dragon blood infusion for barely any gains as presented in the game play. Warriors do not match their own lore now and thats the problem.
Sadly this is the trend now, even in 2 an Assassin duellist rogue would break the game again making me question why do i even need warriors and frankly in 2 i didnt even need on for my party.
