Aye. Jeirt was notorious for her love of Thane on the forums.
Bioware took note(naturally). If you play Mass Effect 2, go back to Thane's recruitment mission. There are salarians in a room you can save the lives of. Two rooms of salarians actually. Save both(since I can't remember which has Jeirt). Anyway, once the mission ends and you recruit Thane, if you saved the salarians, you'll get an email from a male salarian named Jeirt talking about how majestic Thane was, how Thane's movements and motions inspired them and they're gonna make their lives better for it. And to tell Thane that.

I'll always remember that huge movement to get a corrected version of ME Deception made. Nothing ever did come from that despite what was said otherwise at the time huh?

Hah, another thing we had going. Nah, guess they figured it was too late and no one would care. Deception still sucks,
Dietz. Style writing. Is still a. Thing. /dietzstylewriting,
and we never did get revisions. Since revising that terribad novel would require a ground up rewrite so the novel could become an entirely different thing.
Yeah lol. It's pretty damn clear that they said they'd do it just to shut us up with no intention of ever actually rewriting the thing. And we saw it as a victory. Good times XD

That campaign was a BLAST. If you recall, I friended Dietz on Facebook, left him a respectful request to say something to alleviate the feelings of fans of Mass Effect in regards to Deception,
Anyway I might be able to sort out the Galv problem. Or at least I wish I could. I also want Galv back and I friended him on Steam but he hasn't been online in over a year so... I dunno.

Though it tells me Sienna hasn't been on Steam for even longer than that.
Ah yes...you were one of the more prolific posters in that thread...or series of threads...1000 posts in a day if I recall...
The Solas thread is almost as bad for DAI, but thankfully it's much much slower.
I wasn't part of the character threads that much actually. What I did was post about these characters(and Tali especially) across many threads over the years. A ton.
I think I might just read Deception to see what a terrible book reads like.
I have it somewhere, but I have never read it.
I don't think I will from what everyone said about it.
You don't need to have read the earlier novels to know how bad Deception is, that just makes it worse. Deception brings dead characters back to life only to kill them again, turns gay male characters into asari diggin dudes, has a dude eat a bowl of cereal in someone else's apartment when they're not there because they are a "thrill seeker", has someone urinate into a vase, kills off a main character with a sharpened toothbrush, completely botches descriptions of biotics, features the Mass Effect equivalent of a McDonald's Happy Meal, mentions turian rickshaw drivers, has an autistic character "get over it", has things that don't make sense timeline wise within the books AND the games, etc etc
It. Is. HORRIBLE. So horrible, the Mass Effect wiki guys were like, "Yeah NAH, we're not gonna put info from this novel into the wikia until we learn about some fixes cause there are some serious contradictions"
Thats what happens when you go from DREW KARPYSHYN, the lead writer of Mass 1 and co-lead writer of Mass 2 writing the novels, to William C. Dietz, a guy who
writes. his sentences. so short as. if there can only. be. less than five. words. a sentence. /dietzstylewriting
and has no connection to Mass Effect at all. Dude was a mercenary writer who was paid to write the last novel, BOTCHED IT HARD, and the team couldn't even bother to fix it.
Also, in yet ANOTHER case of BS from Mass Effect's history, Casey Hudson was on twitter like, "Oh I read the book and its a great conclusion, you should buy it"
Like hell you read it, if you did it never would've come out. Get out of here insulting the intelligence of anyone who's ever read the books.
Book was so bad someone burned it. Did it terribly(they didn't know to flip pages so that air gets in first), but still kinda burned it.

I'm wondering whats some of your favorite moments from the old days, as we recall some of ours
also heres a box of tissues *boom gos the bass*
I don't think I have a favourite moment! It was more the overall fun and laughs I had whenever I logged in!! You and HK trolling whichever threads you could find, Crusty's Photoshop Extravaganza, Tim the awsome cookiemonster (god I miss Tim!!!), War & Mino's banter.......... I swear, my only anchor to staying sane at the time was Meny, and I miss her most of all! :')

Really?? Has it been THAT LONG??!?! It's true that I took a complete break from the BSN and gaming, didn't realise it was quite as long as this........
I still remember the first time I logged on and you guys couldn't hear me, and then I got my headset working but it was still too quiet, and Fiddles made fun of me for having such a tiny voice!! Aaah, good times!!
And now BSNers are spread across PC, 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, Wii, Wii U,
and there's probably some lonely ass dude on the Ouya
I need a shot of something strong to make the bitter sadness that is remembrance go away. :C
On a COMPLETELY different note, I never knew that Dobby looked so gorgeous!!!!
Not gonna google myself though, cause I know that only yields pics of Sienna Miller (which is cool, she's hawt!, but it's still boring). xD
