Still boggling over the idea there are insider cliques. That's like being the cool kids in the insane asylum. Kind of a dubious honour, realy.
Yeah. But apparently they are around. United over mutual interests, positive and negative.

48 likes in 24 hours. Micromanage them.

The likes have been acting sort of weird for me lately. Like one minute I will have some and the next I wont, then I will try to like a post and it will let me, but then I try to like something else and cant.
Weird.

I liked Sienna. She was nice. Sad to see her go without getting to know her better.
Now if only other certain users would go instead of the good ones... this place would be so much better like it used to be.

I would rather everyone stayed and people just didn't act like dicks to each other.

Well, you might be getting confused because of when you liked something.
Say you hit your like limit. 48 in 24.
You'll be able to give a like again 24 hours after the first of those 48 likes was given.
So it can say you hit your limit, and you'll go, "DAMN IT!" but then a minute later you can give a like again. Why? Because it took you about 24 hours to give out those 48 likes.
But if you like 48 posts all within around 2 minutes, you'll be waiting a good day before you can like something again. Feel me?

True but this is the BSN you're talking about. It's impossible!

TRUTH. But some are here just to draw attention to themselves, treat the site like its Tumblr with a Bioware skin, or openly troll/waste time.
That is my biggest beef with Off Topic these days.

Hah, that kind of attitude is what keeps things from changing. Anything is possible, just gotta believe it and work towards it. ![]()

Oooooh alright. That makes sense.
Can likes carry over if you dont use all 48 though? Like if you end a day with a few left over will those be added to your next day total?

Exactly!

Nah. The limit is always 48 in 24.
So if I don't like anything for a day, I won't have 96 in 24 the next time I like something.
Lets assume you haven't liked anything in 24 hours-
If you like something, you've started a 24 hour timer. Within those 24 hours, you've got the ability to continue giving likes until you've hit 48.
Once you hit 48, you've got to wait for the original 24 hour timer on the first like you gave to run out to give another one. The wait exists for each like. There is no rollover system.

Got it. Guess I will have to be a tiny bit more stringent with them.
Guest_OneWomanArmy_*
Why should anyone go? There are certain users I really dislike here as well.......... but people should just be themselves here and live their lives instead of focus too much on others all the time...
Exactly!
Its the biggest thing that keeps off topic from being the fun place that it was in years past. Well that and a lack of interesting threads. These days you see more of the "game" type ones or the threads that are likely to only draw a particular type of crowd.
We need the threads like we had back in the day that drew in everyone and were a good time of positivity, not people taking out grievances with one another or trolling.
I'm just glad there isn't a post-timer system. I'd be *expletive*d, hahaha
Now THAT would suck the fun out of the place.
Guest_OneWomanArmy_*
Yeah and it's not healthy to live your life around who gets the most attention or not... everyone should just be happy and co exist ![]()
A big problem though is that trolling is promoted here by people. I don't know if people realize they're doing it, but by responding to a troll, you're giving them more of a reason to do it.
Best course of action is to post nothing towards them, report them, and carry along in threads the trolls haven't posted in. They get dealt with, and the idea gets around that trolling gets you nowhere.
Problem is, here trolling gets rewarded by people and thus, it festers. And right now we don't have the mod and dev oversight like we used to so it can be dealt with accordingly.
Example- Warning points are seen as a bragging point by some people, like the bigger the number, the better you are. Its actually the opposite, or it should be. Like golf, hahaha.
If I'm correct, that system only counts infractions since the forum switch to what we have now, so we're just under a year or so. The less you have, the better you're doing. And if you have any, don't do whatever it was you did to get it. That is what'll help the forum become a better place for everybody.
