Im an alcoholic and I am trying to quit. Its really hard and I do not want to go to AA because I always heard its a group based in some church and you have to believe there is a higher power or in god or something? Also is alcoholism a disease? I have heard people debate this even south park did an episode I think.

My ex husband was an alcoholic so I have plenty of experience and trust me, you don't want to stay that way and trust me.. you don't want to hurt a potential woman you end up loving one day. You will only regret it if you loose her because of your alcohol problem.

I didnt mean to imply you would trigger something, I already have a bottle at home waiting for me, I just know its bad for me and want to stop. But something keeps making me go get more.

 

Never say never...! And yes, go to your doctor Deck! There is no such thing as it being unmanly, on the contrary, it's more manly for you to admit you have a problem than for you to not admit it and not do something about it...

It takes GREAT strength to go to your doctor and to fight to be a better man. To fight and deal with your alcohol problem. My ex husband never gave up his drinking and now he regrets it but it's too late, so you see, it's better to deal with it in time Deck, before you meet the woman of your dreams.
