How do you reach that statistic? Morover the Architect did not know what he was, old Cory knew that he was one of the Magisters. That should increase your skepticism.

This has been addressed many times by many others regarding the same topic.  Corypheus had just awakened from his slumber.  The Architect has been conscious for what seems to be centuries.  His memory could have deteriorated.

On top of the other evidence which implies the Architect was a magister, this hardly disproves anything.

>Implying he has the body hopping ability like Corypheus.

I don't see why not.  He could have easily jumped into another tainted creature's body off-screen.

Show sources. You have not provided good reasoning for that stat (I'm thinking it's a case of abstracted empiricism). I did not say disprove, I said it should make you more skeptical. Everything that you have said is conjecture, not "evidence". What is "on top of other evidence"?

As Andres has pointed out. What you just said is conjecture, and there's no evidences suggesting the Architect posses same ability with Corypheus. Whether he posse body hopping ability is unknown, whether every Magisters who break into the Black City has the same ability is unknown. We don't know that until BioWare brought any subject related to the Architect or Ancient Magister up again, and your guess is as good as mine. At this point, it's pure speculation.

Corypheus forgot he was a Darkspawn despite having been active for two centuries during the First Blight.

That both Corypheus and the Architect suffer from memory loss is yet another similarity.

Bodahn and Sandal!!, Sigrun, Nathaniel, Oghren. :D

The Architect possibly if they could weave some convincing story about how he survived if you killed him. He's just a really interesting character and I'm curious about where he originated from.

  • The physical similarities to Corypheus
  • The clues that hint to him being a Priest of Urthemiel
  • His distinctive nature compared to other Darkspawn
  • Immunity to the Calling

You have not been too convincing yourself.

And in the meantime, there is nothing which disproves that he cannot body-hop.

I believe we are in what is called a Catch-22?

I knew someone would bring that up.

Considering that:

  • The Architect spares the Warden's life after he or she is captured
  • He offers his aid to the Warden in defeating the Mother.
  • The HoF can be out in the West attempting to accomplish the very same goal as the Architect

I doubt he wants the Warden dead.

No, Corypheus knew that he was a Magister. See the diffrence?

So more conjecture, no sources, and no explanation for that stat. lol

  • The physical similarities to Corypheus : What are the chances of that makeing him one of the old Magisters?
  • The clues that hint to him being a Priest of Urthemiel: What clues? Give sources.
  • His distinctive nature compared to other Darkspawn: That does not make him one of the old Magisters
  • Immunity to the Calling: How does that make him an old Magister?

If you take the Architect at his word, then you have to belive him when he said that he was 'born as he is, an outsider amoungst his kin.'

And yet he forgot he was also a Darkspawn.

It is inconceivable that the Architect would also have select memory problems?

Or the Architect, who knew that he was a Darkspawn and made no mention of being a Magister (Coryphius mentioned both),was a new type of Darkspawn in the first place. Perhaps a line that came directly from the Magisters. I don't know, and you should not claim to know until the devs confirm. Faith is the most overrated of the virtues, empiricism should take its place.

That and throw in a desire demon somewhere. A DA game isn't complete without one.

True, I also thought it was odd that all the demons from the previous games were completely absent, with no explanation

Wouldn't have minded enjoyed seeing shale, Ferris, or Sebastian again and Anders if alive so I could personally have him beheaded, can't tranquilize him because of vengeance boy in his head.

Well you could still burn that mark in his forehead. It would have no effect but it would at least kind of hurt I'd wager.

I'd have loved to see Velanna again (now with her changed attitude and all), amongst some others :) (might write a list tomorrow)
