Geralt would stun the Inquisitor with the Aard sign and then kill him and even if the Inquisitor would be able to open a rift, the Quen sign makes Geralt invulnerable against the effect.

No.

Ha, fair point.  Still, even when I did a three bar focus on a dragon, it basically hunkered down, took some damage, then fireballed my arse.

Yeah, even with Cory you need to lower his health before sending him packing. So the question is how much HP Geralt has?

I know shouldn't bother answering this seriously but the Inquisitor, I don't think he could do **** against a rift. Maybe Geralt if he has time to prepare and knows a lot about the inquisitor beforehand. I don't think Geralt is that strong as far as fantasy hero's go (basing it off the english books, he seems to kill monsters and take on groups of people much more casually in the games).

If its a contest of better character its an unfair comparison, Geralt is character from a book who you can tweak one way or the other in the game (more comparable to Shepard because they feel like their own chracter who you just tweek). The inquisitor is your standard build your own rpg hero.

It would depend on which of the two I got to play as. Give me control of skill point allocation, and I could take Howard the Duck and defeat Voltron in a fight.

The lion Voltron. Not the wimpy vehicular one.

Firstly, Geralt would be very mad at Inquisitor for killing dragons so if they met, they'd definitely fight. Geralt would get along relaively well with Morrigan, both being obsessed about proecting ancient/magical beings. He'd try to bed Morrigan and Morrigan would try to burn him alive though. Cannot think Morrigan with anyone other than the warden. Actually having any real connections and even marrying with Morrigan is the warden's biggest miracle. Bigger than finding the sacred ashes, the archdemon or even defeating flemeth.

Geralt can cast very useful signs and can use blades very efficiently so whether Inquisitor is a mage or non-mage, Geralt has an advantage. Plus, Geralt is genetically modified and has better reflexes, can see in the dark and stronger than humans. Inquisitor cannot open a rift in a moment but Geralt can stun Inquisitor with a sign quickly so the Inquisitor's anchor wouldn't be very useful in this fight. One defeats Corypheus, the other defeats a spectre of the Wild Hunt (in the first game). Wild Hunt spectres are like elven gods of The Witcher universe so in that sense, it would be more logical to compare Geralt to the Hero of Ferelden. Now that would be a very interesting match. But if it is Witcher vs Inquisitor, I'd say Witcher. With or without the anchor.

Yennefer vs Morrigan would be quite interesting as well. Or a couple Fight; The Hero of Ferelden and Morrigan vs The Witcher and Yennefer. Knowing what the wrath of a sorceress lover is like, both Hero of Ferelden and Witcher would just run away from the battlefield I suppose. You don't mess with the dark haired sorceresses.

Next fights: Dandelion vs Zevran. Who'd bed more women in a day.

Or Zoltan vs Oghren. Imagine them fighting at the Proving Grounds. I'd die laughing. Roche vs Alistair, a duel in the court. Letho vs Sten. Especially Letho vs Sten would be one to see, even though Letho is very fast.

The hottest red-head contest: Leliana vs Triss Merigold

Who's dumber: Dandelion vs Alistair.

I know it is not very logical to compare characters from different universes but still it is fun.

My god this thread is still going.

I love Geralt more in the books than I do in game so I would never fight him.

We would be total buds.

So you think the rest of the Quizzy's party would accept him though?

Probably not. Vivienne would have a fit. A demon, get rid of it.

I think Cole and Geralt would have chats.

Sera would be telling him to get off his knees.

Iron Bull would respect him somewhat, but question his fighting style.

Cullen would welcome his advice and guys could talk tactics until the cows came home.

Solas and Geralt would maybe have a love/hate friendship.

Dorian would be asking Geralt why Bioware didn't use better hair. It would really go bad, combs thrown and everything.. Leliana will be screaming from the top of the tower telling everyone to shut up because the crows are going buck daft. Black feathers falling everywhere, the next day a lord dies because a crow got a whack on the head and went to the wrong place. I love Dorian to bits.

Cass would be rolling her eyes because she knows guys shouldn't be worried about hair.

Varric would be sitting by the fire, writing the next chapter, stroking his chest.

Edit: Sorry if I de-railed the conversation, carry on.
