I guess in case of a female Inquisitor there would be no fight, because Geralt would rather fu.. and not kill her.

In a fight? Geralt, easy. Against a non-mage Geralt has magic. Against a mage Geralt has magic and is a legendary swordsman on top of it. Arcane Warrior Warden might have a shot because he has his own memories as well a the memories of the AW from the phylactery (which are both combat focused).
No. The Well of Sorrows would not help the Inquisitor. It's a gestalt consciousness restricted to DA's universe. Knowing ancient lore that pertains to Thedas would not help him/her immediately.

The Mark of the Rift ability is too OP. So long as the Inquisitor survives long enough to set it up, Inky wins.

Best not bring up the Witcher on these boards. People get defensive, and weird...
Damnit, since when, We are not weird. even on our good days, we are weird. sometimes after midnight, weirder stuff happens.
then again It is not as weird as a certain chatroom, I used to visit that when about 11 to Midnight, everything goes down hill.

Yeah, no. Not much use after his hand is separated from his body. And unless his Worship also has been mutated to have ridiculous reflexes I doubt he'll be able to set a Rift off in time.

What does this do exactly? Does it send the Witcher to the fade? Could he make his way back?

It depends on the size of the rift the inquisitor creates though Geralt wouldn't be abe to make his way back unless he found a existing rift and he would be in a place with no food, lots of demons and where his deepest fears and dreams will be used against him by demons.
Alternatively it could have a effect like a black hole if the inquisitor opened a rift inside of him like what happened to Coryphues.

Tempest Inquisitors would have no trouble doing this. There would even be time left over for a spot of tea.

Good point. Tempest Inquisitor and Arcane Warrior Warden are the only ones that could take Geralt in a fight.

I don't remember Geralt being able to dodge an area of like 5 meters in diameter in the blink of an eye. Based on TW2 at least he's very fast but not that fast. Mark is also instant and stuns what it can't just disintegrate.
Or, Quizzy could bring time to a standstill as a Tempest or be covered in a freezing armor or Thousand Cut for a one hit kill.
Or a Champion would be straight up unkillable for a time.
or a Knight-Enchanter just laughs by being unkillable all the time.
Anyway, this is all pointless, both settings don't really work by the same rules. This thread is basically ''do you prefer The Witcher or Dragon Age''.

Very easily put:
I like Geralt but he isn't 'me', but his own character.
I like the Inquisitor, and he is 'me' or rather a self insertion of me in Dragon Age, just like Shepard, just like the Warden, just like Hawke etc.
Creating a character that is completely flexible in his opinions and has interchangeable viewpoints and sexuality and so on makes it really hard to make consistent or believable character development for said character, because you're creating a blank slate with so many branches and outcomes.
Geralt always had a very clearly defined character, but you get to choose some of his most important viewpoints and beliefs but you can't decide his behavior, sexuality or core personality.
To be honest I prefer the Bioware protagonist. It's more immersive and if they manage to give us the same amount of a yet agency but also convincing character development in the future, then they will have vastly outdone themselves IMO.
Not to mention Geralt and the rest of the Witcher series is based and derived from critically appraised short stories and six novels called "The Witcher series" by Andrzej Sapkowski. It would be like giving Bioware all the credit for the main characters and story in Game of Thrones if they made the novels into great games. That's how I feel about Bioware writing vs. CD Projekt writing debate. CD Projekt had a deeply fleshed out world, plot direction and already adapted TV show to work with. Although they do get credit for actually making an excellent video game adaptation of a novel/setting.

Very true. I love Batman but I hate that "Batman owns cause he's Batman" fanboy garbage. They'll argue that Batman can beat hands dow the likes of Spider-Man and Galactus with prep time.

Indeed. Saesenthessis probably felt like she was playing an infuriating game of whack-a-mole after a while, with Geralt rolling around everywhere and just popping up again whenever she got him. :S

Hah, I'm guessing you didn't get the passive to double your rolling distance then. It's hilariously overpowered. ![]()

Nah man. I don't do Batgod of prep time garbage. Bats is the master of prep time, but that only goes so far.
