I REALLY want more atypical simulators and immersive stuff...not like darn 'Rock Simulator', but things like the upcoming 'Bear Simlator'.
Video games that you think should be made.

Half Life 3 ![]()
But no seriously... for me it would be a fully and completely open-world post apocalyptic survival game. No zombies. Just you in a massive (Daggerfall-sized) world using either stealth, silver tongue, or both to avoid problems. Melee weapons would be fairly common but very risky to use whereas functional guns would be nearly impossible to get and ammo even more so.
There would be a few tiny towns scattered throughout the map, with the wasteland surrounding them, populated with the occasional gang of savage cannibals or pack of predatory animals. Varied geography, such as forested mountains and scorching deserts with oases present but difficult to find.
Realistic needs as well as diseases and injuries that can be deadly if untreated.
I am simply a sucker for the genre and would throw any sum of money at any dev that gets it right.

Id totally play a Bioware style RPG set in Ancient Rome, work your way up to become emperor or empress of the Roman Empire....with optional Caligula style sex parties included if successful
For some reason I don't think we'd ever see that. Which is probably a good thing.
Is fun to imagine tho
I'm sure in reality it is, but from BioWare probably not...
It would be even more cringe worthy to watch than some scenes in DAI.

You might get your wish. CA has permission from Games Workshop to make a Warhammer title, I think.
Until then, mods will let you play in Middle-Earth, Westeros and even Hyrule.

As for game ideas...
It would be something along the lines of a combination between say Crusader Kings and Mount&Blade. Of course, it wouldn't have the complexities of Crusader Kings, but there would be some elements form the series present. You would of course have the option of being a ruler, a lord, a soldier in a ruler/lord's army, a wandering mercenary (possibly with troops) which would bring in the Mount&Blade aspects (as well as the battle style from M&
. Unfortunately, that's as far as I can take the idea so I'll just leave it there.
Although, I suppose you could throw in a Caligula style orgy as well, I'm sure that would please some fans... ![]()

Oh my god just no more sequels, games based on existing worlds/ideas. I just want to see some new characters and stuff in a video game for once, although to be fair you can find a decent amount of that in mobile games.
Also a game where the story and game itself are integrated and not sort of developed separately and glued together would be nice. Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen was a pretty decent example of this..
Whenever I see another Star Wars game or whatever I'm just like really?

My idea is a game with real, "alive" NPCs. NPCs who have a job and make money in the game world, who must buy food to eat in the game world, who would starve if lacking food in the game world, who have opinions of each other NPC they encounter in the game world.
Picture a game world with several farmers feeding a small town. If the player character kills one off, there's less food harvested. if there's less food harvested, there will (might) not be enough food. If there's not enough food, NPCs will do what it takes to get food: steal from the store, perhaps, or go out to the world and start hunting (or start a farm if they're farming-inclined--they'd have job affinities).
Hunting too, there would be a diverse ecosystem. If the player hunts deer exclusively, the deer population would die out. Creatures who eat deer, such as wolves, would have to go elsewhere for food...perhaps a different animal on the food chain. Perhaps the animal at the top of the food chain...
I want it to be, at its core, a survival game. But almost overshadowed by a strong systemic cause-and-effect system. The man who kills a farmer and thus begins a cycle wiping out the ecosystem and town. The man who hunts deer to extinction, causing a pack of wolves to hunt him down and wait outside of his hut for him to exit...and feast. The butterfly in the storm. The Complex Effect.
That's a terrible name, isn't it. Anyway, while this sounds crazily ambitious, ultimately i don't think it would be, too much. I think it would mainly take extensive, extensive scripting, to define all of these player, NPC, and animal attributes. To include all the different "jobs," different "actions." To incorporate some real diversity in how the NPCs approach things.
-snip-
I'm starting small, though: a small demo-type thing more along the lines of horror. Hesitate to call it horror, but along those lines.
Hmmmm. Interesting. I'd play that.
What type of interface are we talking about here? Offhand, I was envisioning something top down, like what you'd see in Harvest Moon or an SNES JRPG, for both simplicity and ease of design. Also, is there a PC the player commands, or does the player manage the entire community like a simulation? Is there combat? How do farmers/hunters/other NPCs die? Are we including seasons/weather? Do animals hunt other animals? Do other NPCs fight other NPCs? Are there communities aside from the one the player starts in? Can the player lose? Is there a save system? If so, how is it activated?
Just a few beginning questions. I like the idea of having a fully reactive game, but a game starts and ends from player perspective.

I really want a Fallout game where you play as an Overseer of a Vault that opens a several decades after the war, and where you'd be in charge of leading the society and choosing how it develops.
You want to be like the NCR and try and establish law in the wasteland? You can.
Want to be a farming community that bribes local raiders with food so they don't attack you? You can.
Want to be a Trading Hub that creates small alliances with other settlements? You can.
Want to turn your vault into a group of psychopaths, and murder or enslave anyone that comes near your home? You can.
One choice I'd want in this game would be how your settlement reacts to a group of Ghouls who want to live with you. If you keep them, they could be sent into the irradiated cities without a radiation suit to get supplies, but if you do keep them, people might see them in your group and just attack on sight.

I have already said it before in another thread but I will say it again here, a James Bond 007 (the true James Bond with the guns, gadgets and misogyny, not the new Daniel Craig version) game with gameplay more akin to that of Deus Ex rather than the linear action shooters that Bond games usually wind up being. Something that requires more subterfuge and detective work as well as clever use of gadgets and whatever you have on hand than straight up blasting your way through a mission.
Also Garrus Vakarian PI, nuff said.
