Ha, my friend called me the other night and asked what I was doing. I replied, "What do you think I'm doing?" and his response was "Noooooooo!" :D

Haha this is what every night was like for me the first weeks I had DA... My friends stopped asking that stupid question after a while since all they got was "take a wild guess" etc. :P

I knew it was bad when it started invading my dreams.....

I can't recall what Zevran was doing in my dream last night, but it had something to do with a highschool reunion, work, and fighting dark spawn.

My husband has had a DA:O dream.  He dreamt the dwarf Shaperate was trying to organize a coup or something.   LOL  I haven't had a game dream yet, though you would have to sign me up for the therapy group, too.

Husband is the one who got me into video games and into this game specifically, so he can't complain if I'm distracted and hogging the PC.  Posted Image

I had a nightmare after my first play through.

Then it kept happening. So I had to write it down. Had to fill in some story, though. Apparently I only dream in plot points.

Well, unlike the the old-timers, I'd never played a computer game until 5 years ago. In fact, I'd never 'gamed' at all - it simply didn't exist where I grew up.

But the kids think that makes me extra cool - I learned it all in the last few years, lol. Well, and I think the fact that I'm a bigger addict than they are impresses them too.

I think I'm a bigger noob than you.  At various points I would get on people's consoles- I recall a vacation where I was obsessed with Tomb Raider 3- but up until a year or two ago I had really only played MUSH with any regularity.  That's a Stone-Age version of text-based gaming, for the unfamiliar.  My husband was a long-time gamer and I used to sniff at his "primitive" toon games, until he got me into Fallout 3, and that was my gateway drug.  He is still amused, I think, that I'm as ardent a player as I am.

Since the PC is his domain (mine is a Macbook), I think he regrets converting me!

I haven't had the dreams yet.... I think its just a matter of time though. But I do think about it when I'm at work: "What quest am I going to try to complete next?" "Which side should I choose?" "Zev or Ali......or Leliana ?" decisions, decisions. :P

My husband's name is Alex, and i can't remember how many times I almost called him Alistair. Creepy.

Husband is used to my constant playing on the computer, however, so he's not bothered. Though he did a double take when i had a man on man love scene with Zevran.

I almost always have some video game obssession, and my boyfriend will usually give whatever I'm playing a try. Even though he thought I was crazy for loving DAO so much, he's now on his 3rd playthrough and is looking forward to a 4th.

It's fun to live with someone who plays the game- I actually high-fived him we he finally tented Leliana and we're always talking about our companions like gossipy high-schoolers.

There is a downside, though. His favorite thing to do now is wake me up by intoning "Dwarven crafts. Fine...dwarven crafts. Drect from Orzammar" in my ear. Admittedly, his Gorim is pretty impressive.

*sighs happily*

So glad i'm not the only one!!!!

SurelyForth: Okay, that would be creepy....:)

Skadi: My first playthrough, I hadn't realized there was a romance option, so when I got invited back to the tent I thought, "Sure what the heck, it will just be a pause in the game", then my hubby walks in as Alistair and my PC started up on the big screen TV with the background music blaring from the stero....*boy did I turn red!*

Punk: I do the same thing, working on writing a report, my mental image is of the game, and the game map, what do I have to do, where do I have to go, if I quit right after dying *multiple times* during a large fight I'm thinking tactics....

As long as they are equipped with a Cold Iron rune, shouldn't be a problem ;)

Another thing is that I'm going back to visit my family in the states (I live in Germany for the time being) I'm apprehensive about going since I'll be away from my PS3 and my vacation's throughout March. Around the time I'll be there, Awakenings will be coming and I'll have to wait 2 weeks before I can play it.....2 WEEKS! Oh I don't even like thinking about it. I know I'll buy it in the states and just stare at the cover until I can get home and play it. Good thing I took and extra 2 days off after I get back. :-p

Whoa...first post/visit to the forums today....I'm suprised I'm not in withdrawl.
