Possible flag-breaking bug? (Alistair/Romance)

I just tested out a world state with a non-noble female character where I set Leliana as her love interest, Anora ruling over Ferelden, and Alistair remaining a warden.

Just for giggles, I then said that "Alistair remained Loyal to the Warden" instead of "Alistair and the Warden were never lovers" assuming this would make an invalid world state. It was, however, accepted as valid.  I specify non-noble Warden because it is possible to be Alistair's queen with a lover on the side, and if this same situation is visited with a female Cousland, the validation check asks to switch the tiles to "Alistair is King" and "Warden Is Alistair's Queen," or "Warden is Alistair's Mistress."

Choosing this tile at all with a male Warden makes an invalid world state, which makes me think the tile is an indication of a romantic relationship, and not simply an indication of friendship.

I have already sent feedback about it being a possible bug, but was curious to see if anyone imported a world state with these two tiles (Leliana or Zevran romanced as Female Warden/"Alistair remained Loyal...") selected, and what the in-game results have been.

Also, I'm sorry if this post is incoherent or hard to follow - It's really late, and this is a somewhat confusing issue.

I read this post a couple times and would have to play around with the Keep to know for sure what I'm talking about, but this issue I can address:

Choosing this tile at all with a male Warden makes an invalid world state, which makes me think the tile is an indication of a romantic relationship, and not simply an indication of friendship.

Alistair can only be romanced my a female Warden; Leliana & Zevran are the bi-sexual romance options.

Correct. The issue is choosing Leliana or Zevran (The other possible romance options for a female Warden) as the romanced companion,  and then choosing "Alistair remained with the Grey Wardens and the Warden" (a tile that indicates them having a romantic relationship) should create an invalid world state. However, on non-noble female Wardens, this world state is accepted as valid. This would indicate the Warden possibly has two lovers.

so:

  • Warden is Female
  • Warden is not Cousland
  • Warden's romance is Leliana or Zevran (not Alistair)
  • "Alistair remained loyal to the Grey Wardens and the Warden" (indicates romantic relationship with Alistair, based on inability to choose tile with Male warden)

In theory, the last two tiles = invalid, since taking two lovers = invalid - unless, as far as I know, Warden is Alistair's Queen (Cousland) with a lover on the side.

Maybe this one is a bit easier to understand, and less sleep-deprived rambling.

Go back and see if the game changed Alistair to be your romance. Otherwise it's either a bug or the Leliana romance overrides the romantic implications of the Alistair tile and it just means he stayed a Warden.

Use the beta feedback button and specify how you achieved the invalid world state.

I made a world state with female CE Warden who romanced Leliana but it also allowed me to choose the option that my Warden remained King Alistair's mistress. So in this case, my Warden also has two lovers? Can't really check how this affects the game, since being King Alistair's mistress is never brought up in the game. I didn't see it as a bug though, but I found it kinda funny.

Yeah, mine is a similar thing, romantically involved with both Alistair and Leliana somehow, and I don't think it should be legal. I've submitted feedback, but WS hasn't changed, yet.

IDK, I think I successfully romanced Leli and Alistair in my first playthrough of Origins on PS3. Because at the post-coronation ceremony, when I talk to Alistair who is king, he talks about how he can't wait to be alone with me. Then I go talk to Leliana, and she talks about the hero (me) being victorious or something, then I ask her "does the hero get her heroine?" and she says of course. Then in the text epilogue, it says Leliana continued her travels with me, electing to remain with the woman she loved. Now the only way to know for sure, who I'm in a romance with, would be to play Awakening and if Alistair talks lovey-dovey to me as his mistress, then it's legit. However, I've only played DAA on PC, so never continued that double romance that I had in my pt on PS3. Gotta get DAA on PS3 one of these days...
