Ramon Tikaram as Dorian is not only the best voice acting in DA, in my opinion, but some of the best I've ever heard period.
But I really like almost all of the voice acting for the major characters. It's another one of Bioware's inherent strengths. Really the only person I had an issue with was Freddie Prinze Jr. as Iron Bull, but that was because he couldn't do the voice consistently.
Claudia Black as Morrigan is amazing.
Allegra Clark as Josie is an unexpected pleasure.
I loved Alix Wilton Regan as Traynor in ME 3, and I think I love her more as the female Inquisitor now.
All the voicework here is great but those are the ones who stand out the most to me.
in my opinion Sera and Morrigan i think did some of the best depth in their voice acting.
And i think Blackwalls VA sounded so bored reading his lines, it was a snore talking to him every time.
I think blackwall va did a great job and when he tells truth in the cell was one of the bestscenes in the game for me.
Seconding this. There was so much power and anguish in that scene.
EDIT: I can't forget Cole. For me, his actor made him very believable.
Cole ![]()
Cullen
Dorian was really good
Solas
And Alix did wonderfully.
Claudia Black.
Seductive succubus voice ftw.

+1. I had to skip some parts of conversations. But that is writer's fault as well at least partly.
I think everyone's voice actor did a wonderful job, and made the characters come to life.

Varric
The voice acting in general is pretty good, but if I have to choose I'll go with Fem Inquisitor (British Accent), Vivienne, Cullen, Cassandra, Varric and Dorian. Everyone is great, but those I liked the most ![]()
I love all the Voice acting in this game....
but If someone had to force me to make a choice....
it would be Dorian, Cole and Solas.
Dorian's personal quest had me wanting to give the mage a huge hug. but his VA did a great job with the Hurt and Anger just below the sharp wit the man has,,,, but what got me was much later in the game when apologized to Blackwall about all the side remarks he had made....I thought it was such a great little moment.... it wasn't a big dramtic sence. it was just a few lines of seincerity....
Cole's VA was almost the voice i imagined while reading Asunder, wide eyed, and puppy dog like... but a feeling he could snap at any moment. the sence that starts his personal quest made me feel sorry for him. he wants to help, but knows he could endanger everyone....such a fine line to walk without overacting.
Solas is just....
[ what can I say, I'm a bit of a VA groupie
]
Bioware games always shine with their voice acting
For DA:I, I loved Dorian, Cassandra, and Cullen the most ![]()
The funniest thing happened to me with the Inquisitor's voice done by Alix Wilton Regan, however. As soon as I started the game, I went like: "D'aww... I miss Jo Wyatt! I want my Hawke!" The side-by-side comparison at Skyhold made me change my mind however
I think I like AWR even more than I did Jo Wyatt ![]()
Chancellor Roderick. That guys voice is soooo familiar but just can't place it and it is driving me nuts. According to what I can find on google it is not Simon Templeman or Tim Curry. If anyone interested in the va angle of this game can help, it would be much appreciated. Maybe then I could sleep without his voice swishing around in my head. "sounds like Howe". "sounds like Loghain." etc. ![]()

There was another thread on Roderick's VA, and most people seemed to think it was Christopher Godwin
That's the best info I could find ![]()

Now that I've seen that he also voiced the Viscount in DA2 - I am thinking yes.
Thankyou so much ![]()

Roderick is not a likable character, but he pulls through in the end, and his VA did an awesome job ![]()
I agree that the voice acting for this game was the best. Claudia Black is always great as Morrigan. One of my fav characters. Blackwalls VA nailed him, I think and did such a great job I can't get over him! But Cole, Solas, Dorian and Cullen. Wow! I love them. SO much great talent in this game. ![]()
I thought that the British male Inquisitor VA sounded very strange at times, as if he was trying to sound excessively regal. The American male sounded too much like Marcus from Fallout New Vegas, so I could not picture anyone but a Qunari using that voice...
As for the good ones, I thought that the VAs for Iron Bull, Cole, Solas, Cassandra, Josephine, and Leliana were spot on. The rest did alright, but Varric's VA seemed noticeably off at times... maybe it's just due to age? I hate to give such a harsh criticism, but male Hawke's VA was flat out bad this time around... he sounded nothing like he did in Dragon Age 2, so unless that guy was replaced, something went very wrong.
The VAs for the minor characters sounded pretty good for the most part, but I did not like Celene's voice for some reason. She sounded off somehow.
