Bioware is pro-gay cause straight female PC has more LI's than straight male PC?
Shhhh
No logic. Only rage now.

Yeah, if anything they're pro human and elf women. Especially elves. My female dwarf had exactly the same number of options as straight male PCs, gay male PCs and lesbian PCs.
Straight men have just as many options as gay men, or lesbian women... Less than women if you count Cullen/Solas but they are race gated, so it's possibly the same amount depending on what you play as. Not really seeing the problem there. Men had more options in Mass Effect. And what does a character being interested in both sexes have to do with anything???
Would like the point out that Cullen/Solas were not meant to be bisexual. The fact that there was male dialogue recorded just means the same dialogue script was sent to both actors. It would have been nice if men got a extra LI added in, but considering the rest of the game and characters had already been implemented, there wasn't really anyone who would fit.
Not to mention I can't grasp wtf is wrong with someone thinking less of the character who (oh dear god no) might have interest not only in the male but also in a female pc. What bs is this? I feel really sorry for bi people if this bs happens in real life too.

Well in that case... Make Leliana romanceable! Make it happen, Bioware!

It's a bit centric towards Andrastian human, so it would be nice to see some diversity towards other cultural perspectives.

I actually agree with this. Next game, I would certainly like to see more LIs that aren't Andrastian humans, especially female ones. Elves, dwarves and Tal-Vashoth would all be nice to see.
I thought it was usually "pandering to the feminist agenda" when talking about the extra race gated romances for straight females?
Naw, apparently it's pandering to the crazy social justice warriors these days!
I'm pretty sure the only reason they added 2 options for female players in is because the only appropriate characters already in the game were Cullen/Solas. Cullen was already straight in previous games, and Solas is possibly locked for "plot reasons". So who did they want changed into a LI for male characters? They wouldn't have had time to fully add any new characters, so...?

Well I would liked if they had Scout Harding as bi-romance
but sadly it didn't happen. Within companions and advisors Cullen and Solas were pretty much one's that were free for LI's though. Even then they in some point were going for bisexual Cullen though but for unknown reason cut it from the game although voice files of it still exist in the game files which is weird.
Well, the Bioware Blog says that they're adding more content into the game through patches and not DLC, things they wanted to add but simply ran out of time.
There may be more romance options, like Harding, in the future within one of those patches.
god will these ever go away..
Who..the..hell...CARES...It does not need to be perfectly equal distribution.
Guess what, given a random sampling of any half dozen or so people, you wont' get some perfectly equal distribution of sexualities. Everyone has multiple romance options...everyone gets some representation, thats about all thats needed

True, Harding could have worked!
Voice files don't mean Cullen was an intended to be a bisexual option though. There's a lot of cases of male/female lines being recorded even though they are not meant to be used. The same script is probably sent to both actors and they just forgot to tick a box saying "only record for female". It's also probably a good idea to record it for both sexes even if they don't intend to use it, just incase they change their minds later. It's just something they forgot to remove from the final game.

Better not to get our hopes up (again), I'm almost certain those things are not romance options...

Not in this case. Last time I've heard some of the BW employee who's now not working there anymore said he was meant to be but they ran out of time or somethin similar. It was somewhere in his thread awhile ago.

You never know.

Got a link to this? I can't find anything about them adding more content...

Sure.

There's a bit near the bottom about adding new content. It doesn't say what that content will be, but here's the paragraph.

As massive as Dragon Age: Inquisition already is, there were some things the team wanted to get in at launch, but we just ran out of time. We’ll be creating these new features and content and adding them into your game over time because we love our DAI players.
Sure.

I'm an idiot, I looked up that post, but totally missed the bit at the bottom!
Thank you!
That's very exciting, can't wait to see what they add!
Romance in this game is as ugly as it is unnecessary.
Feels arbitrary and strange. More so than usual.
There is some dialogue for it already in the game, as DanaDuchy found.
I'm honestly uncertain as to why the two available love interests for a straight male Inquisitor had to be Andrastian, though. Particularly when nether one seems very accommodating to the idea that a non-Andrastian main character follows a different faith. In the previous game, we could romance a Dalish elf, and prior to that, we could romance an apostate who didn't believe in the Maker.
That's not limited to straight male Inquisitors, that's just part of the game. Nobody is more aggressively pro-Andrastian and anti-Dalish faith than Sera. She will break up with you if you are too "elfy."
Indeed.
As a heterosexual male, I kind of feel shafted by the lack of romance options. One of my only real concerns with DA:I (in fact, possibly my only concern altogether) is that there was a lot of... SJW pandering.
I identify myself as a progressive liberal, but at the same time, I'm not really for the whole 'make everyone and everything acceptable for everyone'.
If I made the game, I'd have had 3 or 4 het romances for each gender, 2 bisexual romances, and maybe 1 homosexual romance for both genders.
What makes straight people so special?
It's easy to say "my demographic should get the most options because of reasons." Why should you have more than me? Why does having the same amount as me make you feel "shafted?"

I highly doubt that the romance content will be a part of that. Even if they did do it it sends a terrible message since they changed a man who was straight into a man who is bi within the same game. And considering one of the personal quests is about how doing that to Dorian is wrong, they won't do it.

Who iz dis man Teagon?
Wasn't the a tweet floating around in the last thread about this from gaider when asked about Cullen bisexuality and he replied "characters have to justify being straight now, I suppose?" or something like that?
Op, you didn't get shafted. You got equalised and it will probably happen in any bioware game in the future. Only straight females get more romances.this horse has been beaten so many times we're dealing with ashes.
People angrily were asking from him why Cullen's bisexuality was cut from the game and that was his answer yes.
Basically everyone just needs to chill out and get a real girlfriend/boyfriend/cat.
My roommate threw my cat out for puking on the floor while I was asleep ; ; And now I can't find him. I just realized my problem is bigger than OP's.
