Two romances in one with Blackwall- seven in one if you count his beard, so I'm all good.

Gaider said that that will never happen. Doing that would be like putting the cart before the horse or something.

Did he say exact reason? Cause I think it'd be as valid as giving any sexuality more than others.

If I recall correctly, the reason he thinks that there should be more heterosexual than homosexual love interests is basically because there are simply more heterosexual people than homosexual people.

But just the same, as i always used to say even though i have sympathy the developers make the game how they feel best. I thought it was a real shame in baldurs gate ii that female romance amount to one jackass called Anomen while male choices had 3, one of which was the astounding Viconia romance. But thats how they felt best to make it.
Same this time.
Im lucky, as I very much like Cassandra, but if I didnt i wouldnt have bothered.
All you can you is voice your disappointment in a civil way and hope next time youre more lucky.
But i hate to see people thinking because its het male choices that suffered people cant complain and voice their disappointment, because they absolutely can and should, to say otherwise would be bigoted hypocrisy.

Meh, that's boring view. DA2 had 4 bisexual LI's as "coincidence", it shouldn't be hard to include amount of LI's in DA4 where LI's just happen to be women that are more into girls than boys. It could be simple as one lesbian LI, one bisexual and one pansexual (all female though) which would mean 3 lesbian options and others would get 2. Easy peasy ![]()
I guess BW is little scared though to go too far with their "gay-agenda".

I don't really get what the point of this complaint is. They all pretty much have the same number of options, regardless of whether or not you play a bisexual character. Doesn't matter, I guess. If Sera, for example, was bisexual, people would still complain that the romances suck or something.

Hmm, weird that almost no one commented the OP's focus not on the amount of options to PCs of a certain gender or orientation, but on the amount of "exclusive" options. Guess we're all just skimming these threads' first post now? xD
But I'll do it: why don't the non-exclusive options count in your tally, OP?

Posté 10 janvier 2015 - 11:23
I can only assume that it's on principle, but even if accounting for characters that are exclusively for one gender, all have only one.

Women have 3 Actually.
Just because Cullen and Solas are Race Gated doesn't mean they don't count

Wow, I've never seen a thread like this before.
I actually haven't. I'm petty sure the OP is the first to complain to being limited in M-only to Cass AND Dorian versus some rant about S/S LIs or calling Cass ugly.

Gaider absolutely hated the DA2 romance system. He saw the all-bi thing as a compromise and hated that because "bisexuality is not a compromise". He made no attempt at hiding that if they could have had DA2 characters be straight, bi, and gay while ensuring choices were available he'd have done it.

Meh I still want more lesbian options than others game. Wouldn't it be only fair to give more options in turns if BW really doesn't want to go all equal.

No, giving everyone equal options would be fair.
For example having a 2/2/2 spread would give everyone an equal amount of love interests since everyone would have 2. Those who are attracted to more than one gender would have more but that comes with being attracted to more than one gender.

It's mainly camera related. The IB was going to be race-gated if it weren't for camera work.

Gaider's already stated that Cullen's cut bisexual content is staying cut. He stated that the reasons it was cut the first time (which I assume between his latest comments on it and the statement back at GaymerX that a bisexual romance was made straight because they couldn't get the content to work right for the story) are the same reasons it's remaining cut.
To be honest, as much as I would probably make Cullen my canon romance for my world state if it was possible, I'd rather them not incorporate it at this point. They decided against it once and I trust their gut on it.
I haven't seen a single mention of Harding from the devs since release. Not sure what they think of her or the likelihood that she'll have an expanded role in the future (either via DLCs or future games).
