Is unnecessary IMO, the type of guy who would get seriously offended at a female PC kissing her boyfriend is not likely to even buy a game with a female lead character in the 1st place

That's actually a really good point, I didn't even really think about that.

I still think money to be lost still played a role in the decision, or maybe the devs were just dumb?

I'm sorry some women feel that way but i just dont. None of my hordes of girlfriends either even the lesbians don't mind being looked at by men and considered it good fun. That's why I'm baffled.

I dunno. I've seen some skeevy ass people with very liberal interpretations of personal space bother the hell out of women in the street, and it'd be hard to imagine that the target of all this lame woo-pitching was feeling flattered or at all comfortable (I've seen some arguments break out in the street as a result). When I worked in the lower east side, it was pretty easy to observe on a regular basis.

But in general, I think people mostly just want to be left the hell alone most of the time, and anything remotely resembling unwanted human contact is generally met with a great deal of disdain. Heck if someone said "Good morning" to me on the subway, I'd wonder what the hell they were up to. But that's the beauty of wearing noise-cancelling headphones.

Don't generalize.

I personally do not consider men staring at me with certain expression as "fun" and i'm pretty sure some other lesbians feel that way. In fact, every lesbian i talked to, doesn't like it.

I have no idea where you live, but most women I know avoid wearing boobplate. And depending on the games genre and setting, saying that bad and over sexualized character design is all due to women's fashion irl is just plain stupid. Besides, women's fashion is so diverse, there's so much more variety for women than men. So exactly what kind of clothing are you talking about?

Perhaps BioWare should just start the game with a "LI" character creation screen. That's the only way to cover all bases, innit?

I agree with everything you said. However, the only thing that bothers me is if a women's clothing is invitng such attention. Like in the middle of winter I just passed a woman wearing leggings with a transparent  shirt with no bra, just tape over her nipples. Like that kind of stuff.

Still i dont see how it relates to sexiness in the game. If i see sexy character like Morrigan I kind of appreciate them rather than get offended by them. In fact i tried to copy her make up and ended up looking like a racoon!

I was just responding to your comment.  And I am being honest when I say that I don't particularly enjoy being leered at.  It's difficult to make it a blanket statement because it will depend on the situation and how, when and where it happens.  For example, once many years ago when I was at university, a man came up to me and told me, 'Sorry to bother you, you must hear this all the time, but your hair is magnificent.'  That felt flattering rather than scary, because it was non-sexual, he kept his distance, I was in a big, open public space in broad daylight, and he carried on walking after he said it, rather than taking it as a cue to move in or press the matter.  A year or so later, I was walking along the street and a group of 4-5 young men were behind me and I distinctly heard one of them say "damn, that girl has an ass".  That was NOT especially flattering and was a bit scary, because I was outnumbered, I couldn't see them at the time, it was directed at me but not to my face, and it was more overtly sexual (and for that matter, I still don't know if it was actually meant as a compliment or if he was calling me fat.)

In the main, I think that as KaiserShep says, people who are just going about their business don't necessarily want to be ogled or propositioned or whatever.  At speed dating, or a nightclub, or a party or something, where people are looking to meet someone or hook up, sure, but not all the time.  I can assure you that I and countless other women are not lying and not making it up when we say we don't like it.

I did not say YOU. Read my post? I said MY lesbian girlfriends. Unless youre saying my lesbian friends arent really lesbians? Or are you saying that all lesbians are all mentally singular?

You missed my point, or my point was poorly articulated. Plus now you are putting words in my mouth. So out of respect for you and really not wanting an arguement about such a trivial topic.. I will just leave it be.

But I will say walking down the streets of new york, I have a better chance to see a nip-slip than I do a sweater.

Sadly this rarely happens. Unless you go to places gay ppl often visit, like gay bars etc, maybe. :P

Gonna chime in and say the cat calling thing not cool, not sure if I got it worse where I lived cause I was an easy target (rarely spoke up kept to myself kind of person) or if this person talked to other people this way but I recall being used in sex jokes a lot while I was in the room and in ear shot and plenty of other things I'd rather not go into detail about (mostly due to it being so damn stupid it would be hard to believe) Though I've experienced something somewhat similar with women as well where when I had long hair strangers I never spoke to would come up behind me while I was waiting in a line and start to play with my hair while talking to each other. Though I will say there are some people that do enjoy that kind of attention I used to be friends with such a person though I still to this day fail to see how it can be flattering or fun in anyway.

Wait are we even still talking about this? Topic moves quite quickly to many things maybe I should just stick to lurking on this one. >.>

I vote the latter, because if they're really worried about guys feeling weird about a woman kissing a dude then they need to get their priorities straight

Yeah i mean who wouldnt want to get compliments. I have to admit i've never had my personal space invaded by men. I wont like that too unless i wanted them. And i've never felt i've been threatened in anyway because of the clothes i wear. Maybe i'm just lucky so far.

Thats happened to me before, is a surprising amount of guys who go to gay/lesbian bars just to hit on or harass bi/lesbian women for their own entertainment
